The Starhill

A very beautiful mall — every corner is perfect for photo-taking, even the toilets are beautiful and very clean. The mall isn't very big, but it mainly sells high-end luxury goods. There aren't many people, possibly because it gives off such a high-class vibe that it feels intimidating. The corridors and halls have plenty of seating for people to rest, which is much better than most other shopping malls.

My wife and I were here today for a look-see. We were last here in 2017, and at that time, we found this mall to be quite boring, lacking in buzz and vitality. However today, we were amazed by how much this mall has been transformed - from a place of little comings and goings, to a place that is very hip and very happening. While this mall has retained its "atas" tenants of long-standing, it now incorporates a very popular Taiwanese multi-hyphenate bookstore cum lifestyle (sprawling) shop as sort of its "anchor tenant", drawing in other very hip tenants - there is even a pickleball facility in this mall. What a great change for the "better" IMHO.

Really enjoyed exploring Starhill Gallery – a quieter, more refined alternative to some of the busier malls in KL. The standout for me was the bookstore and café – a perfect place to unwind after a busy morning of sightseeing or shopping. Great coffee, peaceful atmosphere, and cosy reading corners where you can browse or just relax. The space is modern and airy with elegant interiors, and there are also a few unique fashion boutiques and artisan stores that make it an interesting place to explore. It’s not as crowded as Pavilion next door, which makes it feel more exclusive and calm. Located right beside the JW Marriott and connected to Bukit Bintang’s main pedestrian walkways – super convenient. Also just a short walk from the MRT and Monorail. ✅ Tip: Perfect for a quiet coffee, catching up on some reading, or escaping the crowds while still being in the heart of KL.

由吉隆坡JW萬豪酒店與隔壁的威斯汀酒店共構的商場，裡面有眾多高級品牌，台灣著名的（誠品）書店就在這裡的2樓，1樓外的廣場，常常有由誠品舉辦的市集，與對面的帕威年人潮相互呼應，點綴了吉隆坡武吉免登熱鬧的光采！

Beautiful mall, cosy atmosphere — but sadly poor management. Parking system is outdated and inconvenient. Having to provide sharp change in 2025 is unacceptable — please upgrade to a proper cashless system. The surau’s aircond was not working, and even the lifts feel suffocating. These basic facilities should be properly maintained for visitors’ comfort. This mall has great potential, but the management really needs to step up and modernize.

I shopped at this store on two different evenings with two different sales assistants, and both were incredibly polite and pleasant. The shop is charming, selling Ghibli characters and other cute items. Highly recommended
