Hokkaido Seafood Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur offers a good dining experience overall. The clams were on the smaller side, but they were still tasty and well-prepared. The shrimps and lobster were clearly frozen rather than fresh, which was a slight letdown, but the flavors were still enjoyable. What really stood out were the rice and noodles — absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and cooked to perfection. They alone made the meal memorable. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, creating a nice setting for a relaxed dinner, and the service was attentive and friendly throughout our visit. While some seafood items could be fresher, the combination of good flavors, pleasant ambiance, and great service made it a worthwhile experience. A decent spot to enjoy a casual seafood meal in KL.

This restaurant is an absolute delight because you feel the spirit of the city in it. The place is bustling with life as you see tanks of fresh fish and crustaceans and containers of vegetables at the front. There are tables outside and inside. The staff is super friendly and accommodating and the service was fast. But let me talk about the taste. The flavors are simple and complex and the same time. We ordered the fried sea bass which came crispy with a sauce that I believe had tomatoes and orange and some herbs. It was sweet and sour. We ordered also noodles which were good and two kinds of fried rice, chicken and shrimp. Both were satisfying. One of the highlights of the meal was the tom yum soup. It has shrimp, crab and octopus. The flavor was hearty and my family loved it. One issue I had is that they added sugar to the orange juice which I hate but otherwise it was a wonderful experience for a tourist who wants to experience local seafood. المطعم بالفعل يعكس روح المدينة فهو يعج بالزوار و الحياة، فمثلا ترى طاولات مليئة بالعائلات و الأصدقاء و أحواض تسبح فيها أسماك و كائنات بحرية من شتى الأنواع و خضروات طازجة بأحجام عجيبة أمام المطعم. الجلسات خارجية و داخلية و الخدمة لطيفة و العمال متعاونين جدا. طلبنا قاروس /سي باس مقلي جاء مع صوص طماط مع نكهة برتقال و أعشاب كان عجيب و مقرمش، كذلك طلبنا رز مقلي بالدجاج و آخر بالربيان و كانت جيدة جدا. أيضا طلبنا نودلز و كانت جيدة، الطبق المميز بالفعل كان شوربة التوم يام المطبوخة بالربيان و السلطعون و الأخطبوط و حازت على إعجاب الجميع، مأخذي الوحيد كان عصير برتقال إذ أضافوا به سكر و أنا لا أطيقه محلى. لكن غير هذا فالمطعم تجربة لا تفوت من تجارب زيارة كوالا لمبور لمحبي الاكل البحري الاسيوي.

Been coming here since 1990s. Still have many live seafood selections & fresh vegetables on display for customers to pick & cook whichever styles they desired. Beware of seasonal fish, crab price is based on weight. So please ask in advance the price before proceeding to order. Tjey have indoor & outdoor.seating. Parking is limited.

北海道シーフードという名前ですが、ちゃんとしたマレーシア料理です。 新鮮なシーフード料理で、美味しいです。 場所はKL市内から少し離れますが、それゆえゆったりとした雰囲気を味わえます。 アウトドアの席、2階にもお席はあります。 トイレは残念ながら綺麗ではありません。

Taste: Ordered the Tofu and Fish dish, if you want to experience a typical Chinese Restaurant that doesn't serve Pork then this is the right place. The portion is big enough to be eaten with a few people or a big group. Personally, taste wise it's a great place if you are craving for some Chinese Food. Atmosphere: There's a lot of tables for you to eat and the area despite being both indoor and outdoor is kept clean and cool at all times. Would highly recommend if you want to have a lively dinner with a big group of friends. Service: The owner took our order and was pretty much straight to the point with no upsell and suggestions. The dishes was served pretty quickly but sometimes the server are pretty busy with other table and its difficult to get their attention. Price: Definitely not the cheapest especially the seafood but otherwise it's a good place to have meal frequently.

Well priced seafood restaurant. Food is nothing spectacular, but overall still well cooked. Do note that their mantou with chilli crab is steamed instead of fried, which is different from the typical ones served. Enjoyed it.
