It's not easy to describe how much Dr. Mark Reyneker has helped me but let me try. I went to see him 18 years ago when I was 45yo after a head of Physio at a hospital noticed I was flat-footed and my feet over-pronated. Long story shortened: when I bought better running shoes that he recommended, and I stood in them for the first time with the custom-made prescription orthotics, I felt I had stepped into a cloud and could fly out of the clinic. I'll never forget that day. Over the years, Dr. Reyneker worked with me to tweak the prescription, gave advice on better running shoes, and always helped me reach my goals, especially my running goals. I could not have run the few 5 and 10km races that I did without his expertise and the orthotics in the correct shoes for me. Last year, I went to see him after my knees got into quite bad shape. I saw an Orthopedic Surgeon, started Physio and fortunately, Dr. Reyneker was in town. I went into the appointment feeling really down, like I had to change my whole life and "learn to manage". But I left with so much hope. Why? Because he really cared. He took time to explain what could not be changed, and what could be done. Today, 10 months from that visit, together with the Physios who are working with me, I am walking very well again, and often completely pain free. I even walked 25K steps/day for 5 days in Europe recently. I've just seen him for a follow up, and he's given me options for different brands of walking and running shoes as well as what not to get and why. His reception staff even did some research, and gave me various links, so I'm all set. They are extremely responsive, cheerful in a genuine way, and so very supportive of my situation and my efforts. Dr. Mark Reyneker is one of the experts that I rely on a lot; 18 years is a long time. Maybe I rely on him too much. I truly do not know what I'll do if he goes away again. (I haven't told him yet that he's not allowed to do so.)
I was looking for a specialist doctor to treat my teenage daughter’s in grown toe nail. She had seen an orthopedic doctor and a GP for toe nail removal, but the nail had grown back both times, and become infected. Luckily we found Dr Mark and he has effectively and correctly treated the infection and the nail and used phenolization to prevent regrowth and proper post treatment care to prevent further infection. Dr Mark has expert knowledge, care and treatment and I highly recommend him and his services.
With reference to my husband’s review 8 months ago, under Ghee Lye Chuah. The overall treatment I received was painless. Since then my issue has been resolved. I am back to my regular lifestyle. Dr Mark is kind, compassionate, polite, gentle and professional. He gave me a lot of advice on the right footwear and tips on cutting my toe nails. I always look forward to his follow up checks. He is also very patient while giving explanations and gives very honest feedback to my questions. His service staff are professional and always have a heart for the patients. Thank you Dr Mark and his team! My unbalanced walking gait has been negatively affecting my lifestyle, which involves a lot of walking. I consulted Dr Mark, and after a thorough assessment with gait analysis he recommended me his custom made orthotics. Two weeks ago I received my attractive insoles and after I started using them, I find that there has been much improvement in my gait. As always, I continue to receive great and friendly service from Dr Mark and his clinical staff. Thank you Dr Mark and his team!
Ahhh the clinic has finally responded to my review and as usual, no responsibility taken for their lack of staff training or the terrible quality of their shoes. Just blaming the customer for not being respectful. What about the lack of respect from your staff that drove me to respond in kind?! Blacklisted me because after paying over RM6000 and not getting my orthotics or shoes for months and months, I am not allowed to chase your staff and ask what's happening? What a joke! I will not bother with responding further. After all, a picture speaks a thousand words! Please look at the photos I have uploaded and judge for yourself!! Go there at your own risk!! The positive - Dr Mark is a nice enough guy, seems knowledgeable and charming but it stops there! Unfortunately, he is completely let down by his team and his products. I have spent over RM6000 at his clinic and all I have received is stress and more stress! Firstly, I was told by Dr Mark that I needed to have custom made orthotics and that the office shoes that are available from other shops are not wide enough to fit his orthotics and that only his office shoes (Solescape) have been specially designed by him to fit these orthotics. Since I have to pay RM2000 to have the orthotics made, I decided to also buy a pair of black office shoes from him so that the orthotics can fit properly. I was told by his staff that the shoes are in the Singapore clinic and will be sent up together with the orthotics after they had been made. I waited nearly 2 months for the orthotics to be made in Singapore and they were finally sent to his TTDI clinic but without the shoes! What use are the orthotics without the shoes?!! And the shoes are not custom made, they are off the shelf from his Singapore clinic. His Singapore clinic gave all sorts of excuses for not sending up the shoes and they finally sent them up after another month of waiting but what they sent up was a used pair of shoes which cost nearly RM600 (see the first photo below)! When I complained about it, they didn't apologise and just said that I would have to wait for another pair to be sent up from Singapore. Since I had already waited over 3 months for my orthotics and shoes, I ended up buying another pair of shoes that they had in the TTDI clinic. Less than a month later, one side of these new shoes had turned black from their original metallic bronze colour (see photos below)! I took them to a reputable leather restorer who has been in business for 20 years and was told that the base leather for these shoes are black and they had put a coating of metallic bronze on top but because the base leather has a low absorbency, the metallic bronze colour just sits on top and is not fully absorbed, so when I scuffed the right side a little, I used leather polish (an expensive imported leather cream from Spain) to polish it and the metallic bronze colour just came off! When I messaged Dr Mark about the shoes, he blamed it on the leather polish that I had used on the shoes and has refused to accept responsibility for this or any of the mistakes his team made in sending my orthotics without the shoes then sending the shoes but sending me used shoes and now selling me a pair of shoes at RM550 that are so easily scratched and not fit for purpose! I am totally disappointed (and disgusted) by their lack of professionalism and common courtesy. I guess now that they have taken my RM6000, they don't need me as a patient any more so they just simply don't care. Don't go here - there are plenty of other excellent podiatrists in KL who are far more caring and professional!
I have been suffering from an ingrown toenail for around a year. Could feel an annoying pricking sensation when I squeezed my toe or even when I bent it. Only decided to address the issue once it got seriously infected and swollen. Procedure: Ingrown Toenail Surgery (Partial Nail Avulsion with application of phenol acid to permanently destroy both sides of the nail matrix) Price: Around RM2,500.00 for one nail (includes 4 dressing appointments) Procedure itself is quick, efficient and painless thanks to Dr Elaine. The injection (local anaesthesia) was the worst part. But that only lasted around 30 seconds. As for post-op care, needed to keep the dressing on and dry. Can't drive home from surgery. Can't wear shoes for a month. Best not to perform any physical activities where there is a risk of injuring your toe (e.g. heavy lifting/martial arts with kicking). Personally, I did not feel any post-op pain (varies from person to person). Didn't need to resort to painkillers. First photo taken 1 week after surgery. Last 3 photos taken 2 weeks after surgery. Scabs forming around both sides of nail. Looks ugly but doesn't hurt and is quite normal. It is part of the recovery process. Just treat it as a scar. Wanted to do a "before/after" comparison but didn't get an opportunity to photograph my toenail before surgery. The swelling/bulge would make for a very graphic and grotesque photo anyways. Permanent effects: nail will look uglier and narrower. But that's a fair trade-off for a permanent solution. I don't do pedicure as a guy, so visual aesthetics of my toenail doesn't really matter anyways . Glad I found a podiatrist who specialises in dealing with these problems. One of my relatives who suffered from the same problem went to a hospital a decade ago - the whole nail was removed and no acid was applied, so the nail remains curved with a high risk of ingrown toenail recurrence.
I personally suggest this place for whoever is having problem with thier toe nail inner grown proble… brought my sister for treatment here Team is so professional and the Doc is friendly will help you to guide and my sister were having this problem for quite long time but they have done it so professionally and painless… Overal treatment was painless for real..
