Dropped by the Swee Lee Flagship at Lot 10 while visiting KL — and wow, super impressed with the whole experience!

Even though they didn’t have the exact item I was looking for, the staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and really went the extra mile to assist me. Communication was smooth and easy in English, which made things super comfortable as a foreigner just browsing around.

The store itself is beautifully set up, and the gear they carry is top-notch — all high-quality stuff that’s clearly well-curated.

Major shoutout to the team there for being so welcoming and professional. It really makes a difference when you’re treated with kindness and patience, even if you’re just looking around. Definitely one of the best music store experiences I’ve had in Southeast Asia.

Went for guitar restring. My black capo was missing and now cant contact the store, number does not work. What a horrendous experience

Tuning Pegs out of stock, asked for guitar strap installation, parts out of stocks. Supposed to be a one stop station but everything out of stocks.
The staff kept giving vague and uncertain answers.

Recently bought an Alesis keyboard less than a year ago, when there was a problem with the hardware, Swee lee have asked me to deal with the supplier instead of taking responsibility. The supplier wanted to charge me. It’s not acceptable for a dealer to push customers to deal directly with the distributor, especially when the product is still under warranty. it should be like this: –
1. Customer contacts the dealer .
2. Dealer handles repair coordination with distributor.
3. Dealer collects and returns the unit at no cost to the customer.
3. All repair costs under warranty should be covered; I shouldn’t have to pay anything.

My advise to all potential buyers, find another retail seller who is more responsible than Swee Lee

Great customer service and nice music store with a wide range of brands. They even carry brands like NUX and Presonus which are the up and coming tech based music brands. Staff are friendly and nice. Depending on the product you are looking for.. Some of the products are a bit more expensive than other shops…

Wanted to buy a Taylor Mini GS but the airline wanted to charge me like 400€ to carry it. Would have been a good price otherwise.

Staff are friendly. I though they just selling guitar but they actually teach playing musical instruments in Bukit Bintang branch. It looks intimidating outside the building but it’s actually clean and nice inside the shop and inside the music room. It’s hard to find this kind of service specially in KLCC area

First of foremost, the staff was nice and helpful. In fact, he was more than willing to unbox a bass guitar for me to try it out when I inquire of it. So kudos to En Arif.
However, my disappoinment is on the guitars themselves. First impression is crucial and for the basses I tried, poor impression. None of them were setup with proper playability (low action, straight neck). MIJ bass or signature bass all very poor setup.
So, whatever positive reviews of the basses all throw out of window after I tried them.
So my suggestion to SL is to please setup all your guitars to a basic playability level, give your customers the right feel and right impression. Only then you can lure them to buy.

Went to fix my guitar and put on new flat wound strings. Andy, the guitar specialist was pretty careful with his work and gave me a few tips on taking care of my guitar.

Also had the pleasure of listening to Low performing for a potential customer.

Poor lousy workmanship on amps repairs maintenance n services…. Not worth it with what they charge just for a check up… Don’t send your valued guitar amps here…. I don’t know how their QC’s can just simply return customers amps with this kind of sloppy job..

Comparing to how it was like in the early 2000s when I first visited the shop, my recent years visit to CK Music has been better & great. The personnel are knowledgeable and they are able to suggest a product based on my need.

I was also able to learn a lot of new things because of the staff there, despite that I don’t know anything much about some of the stuff. It was through them that I was able to learn more about electric guitar sounds, live sound setup, things related to keyboard, and also studio related stuff.

Best of all, they’d let me try out the instruments & devices that are there. Indeed a retail shop will always need to promote the items they carried in order to get sale, but at least I don’t feel the pressure that I’ve been forced to buy; instead it’s purely sharing & letting me know how the items work. It helps in making a proper decision of whether it’s a must buy or not. Really appreciate that.

What’s more, as long as I purchased my items from them, I can always bring it back for servicing. Servicing an instrument will require time & proper checking & testing, so I’m well aware that “no way jose” that I can have my instrument back fast, but at least my experience so far is that they will do a proper check & will not simply change anything if not needed. I’m grateful for them esp. for handling my Michael Kelly Hybrid, which can be a nightmare to deal with due to its electronic…

This is my first time to do pickup replacement at CK music. The overall experience is very good. The technician who served me was named Wan. He patiently answered my questions. very nice. There is also available very good after-sales service, can just contact or go there if have any problems in the future.

I visited this place to get an audio interface and was greeted by friendly, helpful people. Although I didn’t get exactly what I wanted, I would highly recommend this store if you’re in town to purchase audio equipment. They offer a full range of products from multiple brands. You’ve really got to check them out!

Had a great experience in this store. The staff were very helpful and communicative towards me which is important as I was getting some equipment to set up a small home studio.

Edgar helped me with finding the equipment I need and was quite involved with the getting the right product which was great as I got some information I was not privy to, in regards to music from him. We also had a great chat about music and things related to how music connects people disregarding any form of separation and unites people of all cultures together. Moreover, they were highly supportive of my music and the goals I was progressing towards. To have gone to a shop looking for some equipment but walking out with much more than just Harware was a blessing!

The staff in this shop are very laid back and high vibrational individuals. I definitely recommend this place for music enthusiasts to check out and visit!

A highly different experience to other music stores that I visited in KL while I was visiting there.

I had 2 recent experiences with this shop that left me feeling unsatisfied. Now I have to say that no one was rude and did anything improper but I felt like the people I was speaking with could have offered better solutions.

On the 31st of Dec, I walked into the outlet and looked at some guitars. I saw a G&L Tribute S-500 on a discounted priced. A fella named Daniel was attending to me. Nice and pleasant chap. He did some calculation and mentioned that it’s prices somewhere between 1700-1900(I forgot). I was seriously considering buying it but I was afraid of my wife so I asked if I could think it over and come back. He said yeah, no problem. I went home and decided to be a man and came back the next day to buy it regardless of what my wife says. Came back and found out it’s closed. They close for 3 days due to New Year holidays or stock count. The the discount was a end year promotion. From 1700-1900, it became 2900+.

My second experience was a few days ago. Bought a G&L Tribute ASAT Classic on Shoppee because of promotions and platform discounts. It was 1780+. Then they called to tell me they actually sold it the day before. That was alright, these things to happen. Then they mentioned if I would like to change models or colour. I saw one they recommended that I liked and said can I get this one. It’s a little bit more expensive(1900+) so I asked if I could just top up and he(Edgar) said I have to go into the shop and buy it or buy it online on their platform. I used Shoppee because they had an instalment plan more suited to my needs compare to CK. So I said I have to decline if they can’t make something work out in my favor. So he said yeah, you can go ahead and decline it then.

I though the delivery of service could be better. If Daniel mentioned that the promotion ends on that day itself, then it def would have affected my decision at that time. I most likely would have bought it on the spot. I msged him as he gave me his contact but he ghosted me. If Edgar said I could just top up the extra bit and he deliver that guitar instead of the one that sold out then I would have agreed.

Like I said, both Edgar and Daniel were nice and polite. I felt though if they just did a little more then I would have 2 guitars now and they would have 2 less.

*Update: Francis contacted me after to offer his apologies and assisted me on making a purchase. He gave some very attractive compensations and I am very grateful for his assistance. Service Recovery was excellent and the guitar plays beautifully after their setup.

Would like to thank Eddy and Wan as a team who assisted me in the choice selection models from Michael Kelly acoustic forte port X eclipse guitar . They both were helpful to help me choose and fine tune the guitar which I had tested and selected . Grateful for the new strings they gave and fixed up the guitar for my playerbility by lowering its action point of the guitar .
Staff Wan was the luthier who fixed and set it up ,while Eddy who assisted in other matters beforehand….. Michael Kelly acoustic guitars are only found here as new in the marketplace .

If ya after a diamond in the rough. Well this is a place to check out. I’m not a Guitar pro. But there is a chinese made acoustic guitar with awesome wood work and the sound… My GAWD. Breath taking. I was perplexed at the tonality of its sound box. Too bad in making up my mind, by the time I wanted to buy it was sold. But I was assured by the Store owner that if I called him he would get stock. Can’t wait to learn how to play properly again after a very long hiatus

Located at level 3 Sg Wang Plaza. Was in a rush to replace my broken drum stick. So far all good. Store abit chaotic but sale person are very helpful.

The store was okay. The workers are great. Very sweet. Especially this one uncle. He guided me on which guitar pick to choose for my male friend’s birthday. The uncle made a joke by saying that he (my friend) would take me to dinner for Valentine’s Day (2 weeks before). Hahaha. Guess it’s all a joke. I gave him the pick just to know that he doesn’t even use it for the performance that I have been waiting for for so long. Plus, he’s not even playing the song that his bandmate told me. He used to sing that song for me and ask me to sing that song while he played guitar. (that song called Dan Sebenarnya – Yuna). He changed the song last minute. The funniest part is on Valentine’s Day he doesn’t ask me for dinner (well, of course, we are still in college), but here I am taking pictures for other couples. We don’t even talk to each other that day. I’m just wondering how it is possible to go from talking daily to not talking for months. MONTHS! Urgh, how I wish he would understand how much I miss him. Maybe we are not meant to be together. I hope the best for him in the future, tho.
