Suria KLCC is a big and modern shopping mall that is always crowded. There are many food courts with plenty of choices and a wide range of fancy stores to shop from. There is a public restroom in the basement near Maybank which is free to use, while the restrooms on other floors charge 2 MYR. The mall is right next to KLCC Park which makes it a great place to shop, eat, and spend a few hours.

Midvalley Megamall is one of the most popular shopping malls and centers in KL. It’s a little bit far away from the exact central areas of KL, but it’s still easily accessible via taxi and theprerty good KL LRT system.
There is a large number of, especially branded shops and items for sale. There is a plentiful food court, with lots of varieties and options, including halal food even. The toilets are well maintained and clean, and the facilities were great. As we went in December, we could see a lot of the Christmas decorations, which were plentiful. Overall, I greatly enjoyed visiting the midvalley megamall and I highly recommend others to also visit during their trips to KL.

It is a huge shopping mall in Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It sits at the entrance of Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur. It was opened in 1999. It comprises a shopping mall, an office tower block, 30 offices, and three hotels. You can get here by public transport or drive here. There is no light rail station at the mall but you can get to the nearest station and then take the courtesy shuttle to the mall. Very popular place, lots of tourists and locals. Keep an eye on your valuables. Lots of walking over several floors, though under shade and air conditioning. Toilets available. Huge number of cafes and restaurants available. Gets very crowded at peak hours so advisable to go there before noon. You can spend several hours here depending on your interests. Gift/souvenir shops available. Wear comfy shoes, take water. Parking is not easy during peak hours. We normally take the taxi or grab service. Getting public transport out of here can be tricky during peak hours as you have to wait.

My family finds Mid Valley Megamall a convenient spot for our diverse needs. We appreciate the wide array of shops, catering to both our teenager’s fashion interests and my spouse’s electronics hunt. The food options are plentiful, making it easy to find something everyone likes for lunch. While it can get crowded, especially on weekends, the ample parking helps.
What other Google reviews says:
for Mid Valley Megamall frequently mention its vast size and extensive selection of retail stores, covering fashion, electronics, and more. The diverse food and beverage options are often highlighted as a major draw. Many reviewers comment on its crowded nature, particularly during peak hours, but also appreciate the good accessibility and parking facilities. Some reviews also note the presence of a cinema and other entertainment options.

An All-in-One Shopping & Entertainment Paradise!
Berjaya Times Square Mall is a must-visit destination in Kuala Lumpur! This massive shopping complex offers everything under one roof — from trendy fashion outlets, electronics, and beauty stores to a wide variety of delicious food options.
What sets this mall apart is the indoor theme park, which is perfect for families and kids. The roller coaster inside the mall is a unique and thrilling experience!
The mall also has convenient access via Imbi Monorail station, making transportation super easy. Whether you’re here for shopping, dining, movies, or just sightseeing, Berjaya Times Square won’t disappoint. It’s especially great for budget shopping with plenty of local and international brands.
Highly recommended for tourists and locals alike! ️ ️

Berjaya Times Square Mall
Berjaya Times Square is a huge and fun mall in Kuala Lumpur. It has over 1,000 shops, lots of places to eat, and many entertainment options
The mall is always lively, especially on weekends and holidays, although the upper floors can be a bit quiet sometimes .
Plenty to do – shop, eat, play, ride—you name it!
Convenient transport link – right next to monorail station.
Great for families and friends – theme park and games are fun for all ages.
Lots of food choices – from food courts to cafes and restaurants.
Room for improvement – some upper-level shops are empty and it gets crowded.
Overall, it’s a lively, exciting place to shop and have fun in KL — almost perfect, with just a few quiet corners.

This mall is seriously HUGE . Inside got everything – mostly fashion shops, nail salons everywhere, and endless clothing stores. You really need strong legs because walking here = instant leg day .
But… the toilet situation memang penat. You have to queue like you’re lining up for a concert just to masuk tandas . Not convenient at all, especially on weekends.
Parking? Adoi… penuh gila. We only managed to get a spot at B3 after pusing lama2, and when we finally keluar, parking fee was RM15 . Definitely not the most friendly parking system.
Overall: Lots of shops, can shop till you drop, but prepare your legs, patience, and wallet .

The reasonably priced shopping mall at KLCC. Tourists often get dropped here before airport drop, hence is a good place to do some affordable shopping and also get soveniours. They also have some sale at the ground floor and cute stores like Miniso and OhSome in the upper floors.
They have one of the best rate money changers “Suria Muhabat” in the first floor. Hence a good option to exchange off all the left out money after you are done with final shopping.

I visited MyTOWN Shopping Mall in Kuala Lumpur and overall it was a nice experience. The mall has an IKEA connected to it, which makes it very convenient for shopping. There’s also a spot for kids to play, so it’s family-friendly. Most of the shops are local brands, and I think the mall is more catered for locals since there aren’t many big international names here. Still, it’s a comfortable place to spend time, enjoy some food, and explore.

MyTOWN Shopping Centre, located at 6, Jalan Cochrane, Kuala Lumpur, is a massive mall, spanning 20 football fields, with a vast array of shops, from H&M and ZARA to Malaysia’s largest IKEA. It offers over 400 dining options, including dLaksa, Nando’s, and kid-friendly Weaning Tots with play areas. Entertainment includes Golden Screen Cinemas, VR experiences, and playgrounds, plus a 2-acre park for events. Directly above Cochrane MRT station, it’s highly accessible by public transport or car with 6,500 parking bays. The mall is clean and modern but can get crowded during peak times. A minor drawback is the lack of shade at parking ticket dispensers. Overall, MyTOWN is a vibrant, family-friendly destination for shopping, dining, and fun.

☆ 5/5
Sunway Putra Mall is a clean, well-maintained mall with a cinema, decent shops, anime goods, and even free WiFi. While it lacks a standout vibe and has the usual weak bathrooms, it’s a solid shopping stop. 3/5.
Full Review:
Sunway Putra Mall falls into that category of malls that are undeniably functional, reasonably pleasant, and yet—somehow—forgettable. On the positive side, it ticks many of the boxes a shopper would look for: a cinema (TGV), clean design, good maintenance, and a practical spread of shops. Add to that the presence of WiFi throughout the mall, which remains a rarity in many Malaysian shopping complexes, and the experience certainly starts on a high note.
The shop selection is broad enough to please most visitors. There are fashion brands, eateries, and even a handful of specialty shops, including those selling anime goods. For enthusiasts of Japanese pop culture, that small inclusion alone can make the mall feel more rewarding than average. On the lower floor, the BYD showcase adds a surprising modern touch, giving the space a slightly upscale flair that pairs well with the mall’s polished design.
However, while the components are good, they never quite coalesce into a memorable atmosphere. There isn’t a standout identity or unique vibe that sets Sunway Putra apart from the sea of other malls in Kuala Lumpur. It feels like a well-assembled checklist rather than a destination brimming with character.
As with nearly every mall I’ve visited in Malaysia, the bathroom situation is subpar. Cleanliness and upkeep fall behind regional counterparts in East and Southeast Asia, and this mall doesn’t escape that trend. While I can’t speak to the parking facilities, my time inside was generally smooth, and staff across the stores were polite and professional.
Final Verdict: 3/5
Sunway Putra Mall is practical and polished, with a cinema, WiFi, and a respectable mix of shops. It’s a good place to shop or catch a movie, but without a distinct character or standout offerings, it remains more solid than special.

Plaza Sungei Wang is more of a market-style shopping centre rather than a high-end mall. Lots of small shops, budget fashion, tech accessories, and a big focus on gaming culture. We noticed what looked like a gaming tournament or e-sports event happening while we were there, which might be exciting if you’re into that scene.
That said, it wasn’t really our style of shopping – quite busy, a bit older in feel, and more geared toward niche hobbies or bargain hunting than mainstream retail.
✅ Worth checking out if you’re into gaming, cosplay, or retro gadgets – otherwise, there are more modern malls nearby like Pavilion or Lot 10.
Good central location in Bukit Bintang, with easy access from the monorail.

Sungei Wang Plaza was the first mall I visited in Kuala Lumpur. It’s located in a very busy area of the city and has a bit of everything:mainly small shops, local restaurants, and a supermarket with plenty of Malaysian food items, great for souvenirs. Worth a visit.

Sungei Wang Plaza – Affordable Shopping in Bukit Bintang
Sungei Wang Plaza, in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s Bukit Bintang, is a lively and affordable shopping destination with a unique charm. Unlike the high-end malls nearby, this plaza is known for its variety of budget-friendly shops, independent boutiques, and specialty stores.
Fashion lovers will find trendy clothing, shoes, and accessories at reasonable prices, while tech enthusiasts can explore numerous mobile phone and electronics outlets offering competitive deals. The mall is also a great place for tailoring services, anime collectibles, and quirky gifts.
Food choices are diverse, from Malaysian favourites like nasi lemak and char kway teow to Japanese, Korean, and Western dishes. The food court and small eateries provide something for every budget, and dessert lovers will enjoy the many cafes and sweet shops scattered throughout the mall.
Location is one of its biggest advantages. It’s easily accessible via Bukit Bintang MRT or Monorail, and just a short walk from Pavilion KL, Lot 10, and Fahrenheit 88. This makes it a perfect stop on a full-day shopping trip.
The atmosphere is always lively, with seasonal events, sales, and cultural performances adding to the vibrant feel. Practical services like money changers, printing shops, and beauty salons make it even more convenient.
While the décor is a little old compared to newer malls, the place is clean, well-maintained, and safe, with helpful staff. Bargaining is possible in some shops, especially for electronics and souvenirs, so don’t hesitate to ask politely.
Overall, Sungei Wang Plaza offers great value, variety, and location. Whether you’re looking for bargains, unique finds, or just a fun shopping experience, it’s a place worth visiting.

A simple mall made up of majority clothing/fashion stores, restaurants, a decent sized food court on the top floor, and more. It’s not in my opinion a super exciting/interesting mall as it’s on the simpler side yet if you’re looking to buy clothing, shoes, accessories, etc, you’ll probably really like this mall.

The main anchor tenant of this mall is Giant super market which is located at the back of the concourse floor, together with many local restaurants. On the 1st floor you find Watson. Famous Amos and Good2u concept store plus many clothing. On the 2nd you find many second hand shops selling clothes. 3rd floor you a number of computer shops, MR DIY and Post Office. 4th floor you find the Wang Food Court which many food choices.
TIP stick to the concourse, Ground and 1st floor for shopping. No point going up to 2nd an 3rd floor as there is a lot empty shops. 4hr floor has good food court (Wang)

I’m reviewing this mall based on handicap accessibility. We were here for an anime exhibition. It is a nice clean mall however the accessibility for disabled are lacking. The are no handicap parking then no ramp to go to the lift. In the photo, the left side of the glass door is opened but the right side of the glass is fixed in place. It’s a glass partition so it’s difficult to go in. Fortunately it’s just big enough for a wheelchair to go through. There are no handicap toilets. On the ground floor, there are stairs to the toilet which wheelchairs can’t travel on. On the second floor, there aren’t any stairs to the toilet but again. No handicap toilets. Lastly. This place still hasn’t started their cashless payment for parking and we had to take a ticket but the auto paying machine, again, doesn’t have a ramp.

I’ve visited this mall several times because it’s located in Bukit Bintang, which is a popular and busy area. The mall itself is clean, modern, and generally has a nice environment with friendly staff and a good crowd. However, there are a few things I noticed that I think really need improvement.
First of all, I was surprised to see that there isn’t a supermarket or grocery store inside the mall. For a place in such a prime location with so many visitors, it’s honestly disappointing. Many people – including tourists, families, and locals – often look for a place to grab essentials or do quick grocery shopping after dining or walking around. Not having that option makes the mall feel incomplete.
Another thing is the baby room. While I appreciate that there is one, it’s really small and doesn’t have hot or warm water, which is important for families with babies. If you’re a parent and need to prepare milk or clean up, it’s not very convenient. I really hope they consider upgrading this facility to better support family visitors.
I like this mall and see its potential, but these small things make a big difference. A grocery store and better family-friendly facilities would make the mall much more useful and complete for everyday needs.
