Exactly the type of Asian night food market one could crave for. I believe that anyone can find what they like – fruits, drinks, nibbles, seafood, sweet staff. For those who don’t want to queue at stalls and eat standing up, there are restaurants with standard seats. All the food seemed fresh to me. We visited on Thursday night and it was still pretty crowded, yet manageable. I was there with my 8yo son and he enjoyed it a lot. The only thing that bothered me a little, was the „touristic” food. I could do more authentic selection, since Malaysia has really a lot to offer, so Thai and Japanese food could be skipped easily.

The lively atmosphere and delicious aroma make Jalan Alor Food Street a must-visit spot in Kuala Lumpur. At night, the entire street lights up, creating a festive vibe that feels like a local night market.

You can find a wide variety of food here—Chinese, Malay, Thai, and especially fresh seafood and skewers that are absolutely delicious. The prices are reasonable, and it’s popular with both locals and tourists, which makes it even more trustworthy.

It’s the perfect place to come with friends or family, share different dishes, and enjoy the vibrant street vibe. Also, it’s very photogenic—great for capturing travel memories. Definitely a place I would love to come back to whenever I’m in Kuala Lumpur.

基本上，在亞羅街吃到的、喝到的（除了6元的椰子），味道都挺好的
熱炒也不是非要黃亞華，因為都好吃，中文都通，但黃亞華素食處理的很好～朋友吃的很開心^o^老闆兇嗎～老實說～現場人滿為患，還人人都要插隊～老闆很棒了～^o^

사람들이 아주 많이 모여 복작복작하고 활기찹니다. 야시장이지만, 기념품이나 기타 제품보다는 먹을거리 위주로 되어 있어요. 각종 과일, 구운 해산물, 음료 등이 주로 노점에서 팔고 있어요. 식당도 많고 호객행위도 좀 있어요. 구경 삼아 가셔도 좋고 친구, 가족들과 함께 가도 재미있는 곳일 것 같아요. 센트럴역에서 모노레일로 약 15분이내에 도착합니다.

Very special ambience, vibrant and charming. Plenty of different types of food from different origins: Malaysia, China, India, Thailand or Vietnam. If you want to taste a piece of South Asia, have a go! However, be careful with what you eat, as some of the street stalls can end up in a stomach ache.

Chợ trong khu China town Kuala Lumpur, ban đêm sôi động nhộn nhịp du khách. Trái với chợ đêm Jalan Alor Food Street là khu ẩm thực, khu chợ Petaling này lại bán toàn quần áo, đồ thời trang, vali, túi xách, các mặt hàng lưu niệm … hàng hóa chợ này là hàng giá rẻ và mua hàng ở đây nhớ trả giá.

first time coming here as well, wear light, half empty stomach (so you won’t over bought food ) walk, think, buy, eat and drink. some food need to eat immediately so you can feel the oomph, some can keep for the next day if you can’t finish it like we do. fried smelly tofu, not to my liking but my son can accept it.

Visited Taman Connaught Night Market and wow, it’s a foodie heaven! Stalls start opening around 5pm++ and the variety of unique food is amazing. The crowd builds up quickly, but that’s part of the fun. I tried the 黄金脆皮烧猪王 (crispy roast pork king) — super delicious, plus the boss and staff were really friendly. Also tried the guava from Guava Enterprise, very refreshing and unique, and the boss there was super nice too . Overall, a great experience with plenty of tasty food around!

來到馬來西亞的第二天，離開了繁華熱鬧的首都心，體驗看看當地人不一樣的生活與步調。
聽說這是一個周三限定的夜市，就馬不停蹄地過來了。但來的路上，如果要搭乘大眾運輸工具來確實有點不太友善。
這邊東西有很多都是標榜中國、台灣、或韓國的食物，與想像中的馬來西亞夜市有點不同。
但我想這是因為附近就是華人社區加上附近有個大學的關係，所以才會是這樣的總類與這麼熱鬧。
其中有幾家店蠻推薦的，分別是提拉米蘇、娘惹飯、烤羊肉、糯米飯、香蘭餅、馬蹄茶都還不錯。
提拉米蘇❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️雖然是用蛋糕底，不是手指餅乾，但是咖啡香氣很濃，糕體吸附帶苦的咖啡液配上三層很厚的穆斯，很好吃也很滿足。
娘惹飯❤️❤️❤️❤️➕是到地的馬來西亞口味，雖然飯跟醬是比較冷的，但是醬的味道很濃郁，裡面的羊肉一塊塊的，但是很非常軟嫩不卡牙，米粒是東南亞米，雖然比較不飽滿但是口感比較顆粒也沒有被切斷。如果不想加花生碎等配料只要8元，要的話是10元(還有一顆蛋)。
炒羊肉❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️看起來不起眼，但是適用帶骨的羊排來炒，偏甜的調料與羊肉的味道完美的結合。而且肉質上也有保持嫩的口感，不像一般容易把羊肉用的老老硬硬的。
糯米飯❤️❤️❤️➕已經賣了將近一個世紀，裡面的香菇非常香也非常軟，放的排骨也是已經蒸到幾乎一抿就會碎，糯米部分是比較濕軟狀的，口味上鹹甜鹹甜的也是很不錯的。
香蘭餅❤️❤️❤️就是用加入香蘭香料的麵糊做的石頭餅，塗上有顆粒的花生醬，很甜很好吃，但也很罪惡。
最後馬蹄茶❤️❤️❤️沿路都有在賣，就選一家看起來有興趣的店。味道上像極了小時候吃粉圓冰時候只吸上面的糖水不吃珍珠的味道。蠻田的，建議可以自己套ㄧ些水。
整體來說是一個蠻大也蠻熱鬧的夜市，大家都來這邊覓食。主要都是吃的攤販，當然也有一些賣生活用品的小攤。

亦不算很多
（炒粿條很好食，鹹蛋超人一般）

如果有閒餘時間都可以到訪

Massive night market that’s super popular every Wednesday in Cheras! It stretches really long, like 2km, with non-stop stalls selling all kinds of street food, snacks, clothes, phone accessories, you name it. Tried the stinky tofu, fried carrot cake, and bubble tea, all worth the calories

It does get super packed, so come early if you want to beat the crowd. Great vibes, lots to see, smell, and eat. A fun weekday outing if you’re in the area!

每週三夜市，要早一點去。我們五點半到人就開始多了。走到盡頭走回來已經有點寸步難行。
從捷運過來跟著人潮走大概1.5公里就到。

Seriously I haven’t been here for ages. Finally got a chance to be in KL which coincides with a Wednesday and decided to check this place out again.
Took a train to Taman Connaught and walked to the night market. It’s probably a walk maybe close to a kilometer but not difficult to get there. There is a direct bus outside the MRT station but I saw the departure time 10 minutes later and thought I be better off walking there.
Really an endless stretch of stalls. Try to dress casually as it would be quite humid and warm. Countless things to eat but some seemed to be quite repetitive.
I did search for popular stalls to try online but its not easy as most stalls do not have names and I understand the stalls might not be at the same location all the time. The only thing you can gage is probably by the queue.
Tried a lot of items during the one hour walk. Mouth just kept eating for the entire hour and didn’t stop. Food prices were okay reasonable and nothing much to complain about. Just felt strange when I bought something to eat and saw repeated stalls I would wonder if I made the right choice by buying at the stall or should have waited.
For me, nothing to recommend because there’s just too much to choose from just buy whatever you like to eat or you want to try.
That’s just part of the night market culture. If you want to try the popular stalls, then be prepared to queue. Not many have long queues just a handful.

Bagi saya , menaiki LRT ada senang dan selesa.stesen itu bersih dan selamat . train juga datang tepat masa guna , jadi saya tidak perlu menunggu terlalu lama .harga murah , lebih kurang RM3.40.Kadang-kadang ada ramai orang,terutamanya pada waktu petang,tapi masih okay.
Saya fikir LRT adalah pilihan terbaik untuk pelajar kerana ia menjimatkan masa dan duit.
untuk pelancong, saya cadangkan guna kad Touch ‘n Go kerana cepat dan senang daripada membeli coins setiap kali .

Hujung minggu lepas saya pergi pasar chow kit di kuala lumpur . selalunya ,saya beli buah M3 Mall dekat universiti saya . di M3 Mall ,buah bersih , dibungkus baik , dan tempat modern .tetapi harga adalah tetap dan agak mahal .

Di chow kit , suasana sangat berbeza . pasar adalah sibuk , bising ,dan penuh dengan ramai orang tempatan . buah di sana lebih murah dan segar .anda boleh juga tawar menawar dengan penjual , yang buat lebih seronok . saya sangat suka suasana di chow kit ,walaupun tempatnya tidak begitu bersih dan lantai kadang kadang basah .

Pergi chow kit juga mudah . anda boleh menaiki LRT dari gombak ke stesen kampung baru ,kemudian berjalan lebih kurang 10 minit ke pasaran.lebih baik guna Maps untuk pertama kali .

Untuk pelancong ,saya cadangkan lawat chow kit untuk pengalaman . anda boleh menikmati suasana tempatan ,beli buah murah ,dan alami pasar malaysia sebenar . jangan malu untuk meminta sampel cuba dulu sebelum beli .

こちらの市場は観光客はほとんどいません。
魚、肉、野菜果物とエリアが分かれており、クアラルンプールのすべての食材がこちらに並びます。
値段は当然ながら街中で買うよりは全然安いです。フルーツなどに関してはアロー通りなどで買う半額です。
旅行も最終日のため残念ながら海老やカニなどを買うことができませんでしたが、初日にやってたら購入してレジデンスで調理することも可能だと思います
こちらはあくまでも市民の台所なので、住民の方の邪魔にならないように見学してください。

El mercado cierra pero muchos puestos quedan abiertos en la calle después del cierre, se puede comprar fruta, carne y sobre todo pescado muy muy fresco. Un buen sitio para ir fuera de lo turístico, aquí sobre todo compran las personas locales ( el barrio es el más auténtico malayo de la ciudad)

We liked the produce section better than the seafood and meat section, which was a little smelly and grubby. The seafood probably would have been better in the early morning. There’s a wonderful padang-style restaurant inside with a friendly owner – I can’t pinpoint it but I attached photos.

Wrong location on google maps!! This is a great night market every Saturday very local lots of halal snacks. The correct location is opposite muaz textiles, there is a new marker on google maps for the market called ‘Pasar Malam Lorong Tuanku Abdul Rahman (Night Market)’ which is in the correct location but barely has any reviews

The yellow tents seem never ending! A very popular night market mainly caters to the Malays for cheap clothes and local food. It’s a very very long walk and extremely crowded during weekend evenings~ good place to visit if you are looking for bargains or just wanna experience the Malay culture

Very impressive markets! A lot of traditional malaysian food at a low price and lots of market stalls selling a variety of interesting goods. It’s also very long! Market stall holders were friendly and not too pushy, and in most places the walkway was wide and not overcrowded.
Minor downsides were the absence of toilets and stalls closed quite early (10pm)

Still a nice pasar malam /night market, a lot of choices

On par for food with the best Thai night markets. We particulary liked the lady with Ayam Goreng Kunyit – Ayam Goreng Kunyit Jalam Tar Sempoi. Her food tasted so good and she was very nice to us. Place where they make little rice and molasses donuts is also nice.

Pelbagai barangan pakaian, makanan, mainan, minyak wangi dan pelbagai lagi.Akan lebih sesak tika musim Ramadhan. Pada tahun 1996, Pasar Malam TAR telah dipindahkan dari Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman ke Lorong Tuanku Abdul Rahman. Alasan perpindahan itu kerana mendakwa Pasar Malam TAR telah menyebabkan kesesakan jalan raya.

Pasar malam yg hanya buka tiap sabtu petang hingga malam ahad. Semua Barang² jualan ok² dan murah², street food nye best, kain baju pun murah. Saya beli kasut (sepatu) kalau di Indonesia brand Dr.Kevin harga Rp80rb…tp disini brandnya beda dan bentuk serta quality yg sama hanya harga jauh lebih murah hanya RM10 (Rp34rb)…murah kaaaaan ???

V happy to be here to experience local everyday routine. Most of the stalls are close by 12. This wet market is clean and airy. The food stalls above sell delicious food patronize but office staffs nearby.

The market itself was smaller than I expected, but I decided to check it out after a friend told me their squid was especially fresh and delicious. I also picked up some nicely marbled salmon while I was there.

The squid was just as fresh as my friend had said, and it was perfect for sashimi.
I also bought three kinds of pork: thinly sliced for shabu-shabu, for okonomiyaki, and minced. The staff were incredibly helpful—they showed me samples and explained the cuts and their best uses in detail. Their kindness really made the visit worthwhile.

The few remaining ” wet market ” in the city. This is from the era when supermarkets weren’t a thing then. The place to get fresh seafood, chicken, beef, and vegetables. And fresh pork as well. There are a couple of stalls specialising in fresh fruits, local and imported. You can get fresh eggs, santan. freshly made sauces, fresh flowers, among other things. There is also a shop catering to your baking needs. On the second floor, there are halal food stalls offering good Roti Canai, Nasi Lemak, etc. Or just sit there and order a Teh Tarik kurang manis. The market opens early and closes by 1 pm. Parking is easy and inexpensive. The market is close on Mondays.

This morning at 11am I went to Pasar Besar in Taman Tun Dr Ismail KL to collect my pre- ordered pork from Lee Wah Trading- a big pork stall inside the wet market here. I bought a lot of different cuts of pork to get ready for our family Chinese New Year celebrations. I bought 2 kg of meaty pork ribs, 4 kg of premium pork belly , a half kg of lean pork n 1 1/2 kg of pork shoulder loin. My total bill amounts to RM 381.70. Pork prices like all other food items have also increased in price. Though it’s a bit pricey , I ‘m happy for I get premium n choice n fresh pork here.

Probably one of the cleanest market in whole Malaysia! Love the local vibes there. Most of the stalls have been there since forever. Lots of relationships and support. It’s a place for repeat customers and not one off sales. Good breakfast the top floor too. Non halal part is at the car park area. Frequent by a lot of expatriate – Japanese, Korean etc..

Be careful if you’re buying from ULAM MELAYU – PASAR BESAR TTDI!

I got scammed — I ordered 3 cempedak but received 3 nangka instead, and one of them even had zero flesh inside. Totally unacceptable.

I reported this issue to Grab, but their reply was that it was over 12 hours so they can’t do anything. I’m honestly speechless.

日曜の朝9時前に訪れましたが、思っていたよりも空いていました。室内にあるので虫も臭いも少なめで清潔です。野菜や果物はチョウキットの市場の方がお店も多く安いですが、豚肉を買うならやはりここです。日本語で料理名が書かれていて、例えば「お好み焼き」と言えば豚バラ薄切り肉を好きなグラム分切ってくれます。
ほとんどのお店でQRペイが使えるところも良いです！2階もありますが2階は服メインでお店も活気も少なめ。ただ、地元の人が使うフードコートがあり、ロティチャナイなどを食べられます。

Big thanks to my friend Eric for bringing me to the OUG pasar malam! It was my first time here and I had such a fun experience. There’s a huge variety of food to try and all the vendors were super friendly, the whole place had such a warm and welcoming vibe. Can’t wait to come back again!

This is still considered a non halal night market where they sell street foods every Thursday Night! It always gets crowded at night and causes traffic congestion where it very difficult to get parking. You’re required to park at the paid parking. Will suggest providing a shuttle bus service from LRT Station or the surrounding resident area. Tourists are uncommon here! Very limited seating and rely on Single use Plastic. Lack of vegetarian friendly. No washroom provided. Cleanliness needs to improve. Overall, the food here is a bit costly compared to Halal night market like in Shah Alam. They not only sell food here. They also sell phone accessories and clothing as well as pen drive with music. Majority of vendors run by retired age people where there were some run by Gen Z. Some vendors do play Rock music throughout their operation. This night market is pet’s friendly! The reason why i only give 2 stars as some area need improvement by providing a Shuttle Bus service to avoid traffic congestion and is considered the highest usage of single plastic. No washroom since the available washroom was locked! It might not be worth to come here if you are not the resident around here!

Updated 221204. Last visit was 3 years ago. It’s quieter now even on a Sunday. But still a good place to do your shopping for fresh produce, meat, fish & morning breakfast.

A lively local wet market with a wide variety of groceries, vegetables, and fruits. I especially love the hawker food court, which offers many local breakfast options. My favorite dishes are the fried noodles with extra toppings and the curry mee. The only downside is the parking—finding a spot can be challenging, so you’ll need plenty of patience to drive around and look for one.

For the price is so worth it..dumplings are huge and juicy ordered the mix to taste abit of everything but can go with their recommendations

Very popular wet market at Cheras area,so much so the reason for the traffic jam around the market area especially during weekends. Vegetable, fruits, seafood are mostly very albeit a bit more expensive. The food court inside the market sells a lot of local hawker fare, price very reasonable, popular among the seniors.

There were lots of vegetables and fruits for sale. But there was a traffic jam. Vegetables were fresher than fruits.

Vibrant night market with lots of vendors around… you get a lot of varieties of veggies and fruits, along with other groceries. Decent prices but it’s good to fish around before first if you’re not familiar with the place.

Kadang-kadang kalau ada rezeki boleh jumpa sayur maman segar kat sini. Susah nak jumpa sayur ni dah sekarang.

Went to this Chinese restaurant behind the post office and about 100 meter from the Chinese school. It is a home restaurant without any windows. Look scary especially at night but the food is superb. There are many patrons to the restaurant and it has been there for more than 20 years. The speciality food is something that you do not easily find in other cafes and restaurants. Finally do not be bother by the quality of the place as the food is unique and beautiful.

Wantan mee highly recommended. Uncle so friendly. Pork also reasonable price by this aunty. She’s so friendly. Will support her more

It was really cheap and nice and warm. The place is clean for a wet market. The products were all fresh and the traders are all friendly.

Truly, there are pros and cons. No doubt it is bit messy traditional wet market but do not expect Victoria wet market in Melbourne. Also parking is always not enough. No credit/debit card or Samsung pay accepted.
So after near by Kucai Lama NSK super market was built, many restaurant owners and household consumers go there including me.
But talking about quality of pork, the many butcheries here provide much fresher and higher quality meat with good price.
