Books Kinokuniya Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur is located on the fourth floor of Suria KLCC. It is one of the largest bookstores in Malaysia, with more than 500,000 books and magazines in multiple languages including English, Japanese, Chinese and Malay. The bookstore has a special area displaying Japanese books, comics, art and design books, and idol photo albums. The store is spacious and bright, and has a cafe where customers can enjoy a leisurely time after reading. In addition, Kinokuniya offers a membership system where members can enjoy book discounts, point rewards and exclusive promotions. The bookstore is open daily from 10am to 10pm. Books Kinokuniya Malaysia is easily one of the most impressive bookstores in Kuala Lumpur. Located inside Suria KLCC, it offers a cozy yet expansive space filled with a wide variety of books—from bestselling English titles to a rich selection of Japanese publications, manga, art books, and even some rare finds. I loved how neatly organized the shelves were, and the floor layout makes it very easy to browse by genre or interest.
The staff were helpful and polite, and I appreciated the quiet atmosphere that lets you truly enjoy your time there. The display window is beautifully curated and draws you in from the moment you walk past. It feels like a true sanctuary for book lovers.
That said, the place can get quite crowded, especially on weekends or during holidays, which sometimes makes it harder to explore freely. Also, while the selection is excellent, some niche genres could use more variety.
Overall, it’s a fantastic bookstore with great vibes and a solid range of local and international titles. A must-visit if you’re around KLCC and looking to get lost in a good book.

Wide range of books here and glad they have different books that Singapore won’t have- especially the books from the Japanese section. Managed to get a few art books from the manga authors and illustrators I admire. Service is also very fast and prompt.

One of my fav bookstores in the world! Staff is so helpful and knowledgeable- can help you with any question about books, and the variety of books is incredible. I’ve also got a few Totoro themed items from the stationery shop. The Art section upstairs have books from artists I follow and a cozy Cafe is a great addition. I’ve bought my friends gift cards, too.

I’ve been to Tsutaya Books Bukit Jalil a few times already, and it has always been an amazing bookstore. The calming ambiance and surroundings make you feel like you just want to keep reading there.
It gets quite crowded during the weekends, as many people come to study. There’s a coffee bar where you can purchase coffee or tea and sit at the designated study tables. It almost feels like a library! I bought four history books today. I highly recommend experiencing Tsutaya Bookstore for yourself!

Tsutaya Books, has been famously named as “one of the world’s most beautiful bookstores”. a world-renowned Japanese bookstore chain, located at Pavilion Bukit Jalil.
The bookstore boasts an in-store cafe powered with a Victoria Arduino VA358 White Eagle & Mythos – serving up some great coffee while you browse through their large collection of books.
My tiramisu cake paired with the pour over Ethiopian Elto Hamasho beans were excellent that day – satisfying my craving for sweet dessert balanced with the fruitiness and slightly acidic profile of the coffee.
Note: There’s only one entry/exit point in this bookstore, making it a hassle to go to toilet. Apart from that, I have no complain.

If you’re a book lover, Tsutaya Bookstore is truly a hidden gem worth discovering. With its wide variety of books — especially an impressive collection of Japanese mangas — it’s a place where you can easily lose track of time. The calm and peaceful ambiance makes it perfect not only for leisurely reading but also for studying or getting some work done.
The thoughtfully designed kids’ corner adds a lovely touch for families, and the small in-house café is a bonus — nothing beats enjoying a good book with a warm cup of coffee.
What really stands out is how Tsutaya goes beyond being just a bookstore. They frequently host engaging events such as author meet-and-greets, book signings, storytelling sessions, and journaling workshops. It’s also inspiring to see a special section featuring staff-recommended reads — it adds a personal and authentic touch to your browsing experience.
Another highlight is the dedicated space for local artists to showcase and sell their work, with booths that rotate monthly. It’s clear that Tsutaya isn’t just a bookstore, but a thriving creative and community space.
Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates books, culture, and a calm escape from the hustle and bustle. ✨

Amazing place to look for books and see some micro exhibition. The coffee there is quite good as well. I think they have nice little crafts from artisans. Very nice stuff they have. You can spend hours there to look at those stuff they have. It is quite big and have a wide range of books, stationery n all. Magazines are available too. Have a look at the pictures i shared. The cafe is a good place to take a break, have light meals and also read the books you just bought. Quite a quiet corner of the book store. Also, the staff there are friendly and very helpful if you can’t find your books. Definitely one of the better physical book stores around in Malaysia. Bring your family and friends there ! I will be back again for sure. Thank you very much, really enjoyed my time there today. Best regards.

BookXcess makes Malaysian proud! While I do not notice how many people nor book lovers shop here, cause BX does not typically carry any latest nor current titles. The interiors, are truly amazing.
1) I could not believe that this outlet has a bedroom lighting setup, where I could really see patrons, not reading anything, but falling asleep.
2) A great place for anyone to come here to hang out from 1000-2200 without buying anything nor doing anything much. Ideal for jobseekers, retirees etc, without paying to join a public or private library.
3) The books are only available for reading once the payment is made, cause they are wrapped. Which is a good approach, or else, who is paying for the lease, utilities of BX?
4) Large, with options to snacks and beverage inside.
5) Ideal place to host activities related to hobbies, arts etc.
6) Large, and confusing. For a serious reader, a floor directory would help.
7) Since so many are hanging out, sleeping here, could feel really weird for a serious book shopper.
8) The bedroom lighting setup spot feels, spooky.

I have been there twice with friends and many kids. We loved the experience of being surrounded by lots of books. The variety of books is great and the prices are very reasonable for books in English. If we did not have luggage concerns we would have bought more. The coffee and cakes are good in the cafe and the sitting area is quiet to read and rest. The bookstore is designed really nicely with some art work around. The piano is a great bonus which attracted my kids to go for the second time in 2 weeks. Though a few keys of the piano are not working.
One suggestion would be leaving a few books for people to discover and read for free in the cafe area.

What caught my eye about this bookstore was that it looks like an art exhibition from the outside. I was drawn in by the cool interiors that the bookstore has and couldn’t help but to notice the Winnie the Pooh statue at the entrance. This bookstore is really big and offer a wide selection of books. Honestly I don’t think I’ve been to a bookstore with this kind of concept. Every corner of the bookstore makes you curious and there’s even a piano in the middle of the bookstore Definitely an interesting concept, come visit if you have the time even if you’re not planing to buy books

Treasure trove of medical literature. Well stocked and up to date editions of books priced accordingly.
Give them a ring first to check on the books you want because parking around the area is rather tricky. If the title isn’t available, get them to place an order and get a quotation.
They too offer delivery of books and items through postage services.
The staffs and owner are much too kind and helpful, masters in their own field.

A cavern of knowledge to those who seek the art of healing.
Shelves upon shelves, filled with the latest edition of medical books. From comprehensive books that weighs a ton, to handbooks that could fit in your pocket are at your picking.
The staffs are well versed with their books and I highly recommend consulting with them with your needs.
Price wise are affordable but expect to pay RM 100+ per book.
Parking is a hassle, so I suggest the open carpark beside and behind Grand Season Hotel, which is 500m away from Kamal Bookstore. It’s RM 6 per day, but you may need to hand over your key to the parking staff, so they can micromanage their limited parking space. Don’t worry, I’ve surrendered mine for over a year and they respect our trust.
Feel free to read before purchase.
Lastly, have fun!
May the force be with you 🙂

I’ve been frequenting Eslite since their opening day and I still get the same sense of wonder as if I’m exploring another world everytime I enter the bookstore. The store is not very huge but cosy enough to spend an afternoon in just for browsing the titles.
Even though some of the books I was aiming to get were not available here, I was pleased to see many more options that aren’t familiar but relevant to the genres featured, and frankly they seem to deserve the highlights too.
What I love about the store is, even though in terms of selection, it’s not the best, the store itself has the kind of atmosphere that simply appeals to readers like me. The arrangement of the books, availability of local books as well as international ones, the frequent bookish and lifestyle events held here are some of the things that make Eslite much more than just a bookstore.
If you’re looking for bargains, though, Eslite is not the place. They frequently update the titles on offer but they never go beyond 20% off.
All in all, I’d still recommend people to drop by the place especially if you’re in town for the experience.

I ordered some books to be delivered to the UK. I received them in about 1-2 weeks and the books arrived in a safe condition. Their customer service is also really good, and they responded quickly to me every time on WhatsApp and email. Highly recommended

Lovely bookstore in Kuala Lumpur. Came here during my vacation (as an international medical student) to browse a bit and ended up buying several books. There’s quite a big collection of books, some very recently published, and they’re cheaper compared to books in the EU or US. Staff was helpful and friendly. The store itself is relatively easy to reach via the Chowkit station or by car.

i had a fantastic experience shopping with A-Z bookstore online and couldn’t be more impressed with their service. The website is super user-friendly and made finding exactly what I was looking for a breeze. What truly made the difference, though, was their customer service. I had a couple of questions about book availability and shipping times, and their team responded within hours—super friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. When my order arrived, it was well-packaged and in perfect condition and it was delivered quickly! I’ll definitely be returning for more books soon! If you’re looking for a bookstore that values its customers, I highly recommend them.

An excellent alternative to Kamal Bookstore. Nice ambience with wide selection of medical books and equipment. Easily accessible by Monorail Titiwangsa if you’re using public transport.
