Yo this is hands down the best Indian vegan food you can get in Little India.
You’ll see on the QR menu app all vegan options are marked with (V) and those without are Vegetarian, so no need to ask and hope they understand what’s vegan!

Food is super high quality and delicious, great variety of interesting options, affordable and staff are super friendly and often smiley. I went to other Vegetarian restaurants in the area but I keep coming back here. 10/10

One criticism I want to add however is that I saw honey ingredients listed on the vegan menu. Just want to make the staff aware that honey is not considered vegan. So that may upset customers.

A traditional Panjabi, no frills, vegetarian restaurant in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s little India. The food was excellent! Tandoori platter, original and a nice starter to share. The menu via a QR code was an innovative idea; help was on hand from the female waitress when we took too long to decide; she was excellent and helpful. Food arrived in good time. The ambience was dominated in part by a large sports’s screen which seemed to be the focus for most of the male waiters; One of two reasons for 3/5 stars. The second reason being when a male waiter, who had not served or acknowledged us all evening, surreptitiously pocketed the tip for himself! Not good! Recommend for the food, but the service needs to improve.

Below average taste for the price that you pay . Staffs are good. Ambience is good too . But food lacks in taste.
Dabeli – 5/10
Vadapav – 8/10
Tandoori roti ,Butter naan – 8/10
Paneer tikka butter masala- 6/10 ( portion size is less)
Chilli garlic noodles- 7/10 (bit oily)
Pistachios ice cream- 9/10
They charge rm1.5 for a jug (plastic)of water
Will I be repeating- maybe for ice cream not for food .

We came for food at 7:30 and we were mainly served by Pretti and she was super helpful and kind. The food was amazing especially since it was vegetarian. The food arrived fast and they dealt with all of our silly requests. My son has a milk intolerance and Pretti was very proactive in looking out for the food with dairy. We all really like the designs on the wall of the building and the name is very funny. My families silly humour was amused by the name of the restaurant the whole night. No matter your food preference/ even if you aren’t vegetarian you should definitely come and eat here.

“Chic minimalist cafe with cozy vibes”
Loved the interior design – spacious, bright, and filled with plants that make the place super relaxing. Coffee is smooth and well-balanced, perfect for both casual drinkers and coffee lovers.

However, My lamb pasta is too sour for me

Staff are friendly and attentive, though it can get a bit busy during peak hours. A great spot to chill, work, or catch up with friends.

✅ Coffee : Superb
✅ Price : Very Cheep for Coffe
✅ Highlight: of coz the coffee

Would definitely recommend if you’re cafe hopping in KL.

*Major Letdown*

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at this place. Despite reading positive reviews beforehand, I ended up wasting both time and money. Here are some of the issues I encountered:

– *Poor Service*: The place was always crowded, and the waiter seemed annoyed with customers. They barely communicated with us, didn’t bother to say “wait” or “I’ll be right with you,” and overall provided terrible service.
– *Subpar Food*: The food was a major letdown. The eggs had a weird taste, and the baked beans were overly thick and sweet.
– *Overpriced*: The prices were way too high for the quality of food and service we received.
– *Unpleasant Amenities*: The bathroom was shared and had a strong, unpleasant odor.

Given these issues, I would not recommend this place to anyone. The experience was a waste of time and money, and I wouldn’t go back even if you paid me.

Had a really lovely meal at Roots Vegetarian Shop!
The place feels warm and inviting, and the staff were super friendly. I ordered the crispy tofu and it was amazing — crunchy on the outside, soft inside, with fresh toppings and tasty sauces that made every bite delicious.

The bread was fresh, and even the little dips and condiments felt well thought out. Everything tasted clean, fresh, and made with care. Definitely a spot I’d recommend to anyone who wants vegetarian food that’s both creative and satisfying. Will be back for sure!

This is a restaurant in the heart of a typical low rise up class residential society. It’s located in a street which is full of very top class food restaurants. Has the name suggests this offers vegetarian and vegan options only. However de cuisine and the presentation is so good that even the hardcore meat eaters won’t miss and they would love it. Reform the menu to be very attractive and dishes we’re exactly what they looked in the pictures. From placing the food options to serving us it once again took less than 10 minutes which was wonderful for us. This is one restaurant in Kuala Lumpur that actually even serves water !!! For three of us repaid 150 ringgit. Devotions given us fairly decent and even large. 3 of us enjoyed our meal that was a lunch on a weekend look forward to going there again.
I would strongly recommend this to my family and friends. The street views are also wonderful and parking quite manageable though not easy.

Had a lovely dining experience at Roots in Bangsar. The food was excellent; flavours were well-balanced and thoughtfully prepared. I don’t usually go for pasta, but I decided to try it here, and it was surprisingly refreshing and full of flavour. It definitely made me reconsider my usual go-to dishes!

One of the standout moments was the pistachio dessert; creamy, nutty, and not overly sweet. It was the perfect way to end the meal and definitely something I’d come back for.

The ambience was classy yet comfortable, giving it a sophisticated vibe without feeling too formal. It’s a great place for a date, a catch-up with friends, or even a solo treat-yourself moment.

Price-wise, it felt quite reasonable considering the quality and location. The only downside was that it was really packed, much like the rest of the Bangsar scene. If you’re someone who prefers quieter spaces, this might not be ideal during peak hours; but if you’re okay with a bit of a buzz, it adds to the energy of the place.

Overall, a solid spot for great food and atmosphere. I’d definitely return, especially for that pistachio dessert.

This fairly large corner shop lot, was discovered through the GoVeggie app. It is an Asian & Western fusion vegetarian restaurant. The ambience is cosy. They even had a special Japanese menu. Apart from the usual laksa, curries with naan, mock meat chicken rice, pizzas, salads and pasta, they had nasi lemak risotto, shakshuka, frittata, ravioli and their Signature Kombucha. Lassi is available here too. They served a complimentary 2 small slices of sourdough bread with olive oil & balsamic vinegar at the beginning. I tried the Chef Recommended Fried Radish Cake with a sambal & Tomato-Spinach Frittata. They were tasty. The waiters were attentive and helpful. They had some desserts too including the Tiramisu. There is a special Breakfast menu and promotion over weekends when they open earlier. Toilets are clean. Payment can be made by cash or Ewallet. Parking in this area may be a challenge, especially during peak hours.

My mum and I have always wanted to come here, and we finally made it! It was worth the trip. The food is fantastic! Mum loved the curry laksa but finished it so quickly that I couldn’t take a picture. I enjoyed my ravioli; it had the perfect texture and was mouth-watering! The service was top-notch—friendly, helpful, and most importantly, respectful. We will be back to try more of their delicious offerings!

Looking for a spread with home style cooking, then this is the place!

It’s daily. On Sundays, there’s a special buffet that has a range of dishes, and the menu changes every Sunday.

The highlight was the Pani Puri with 6 options of the flavoured water. Each was unique. Standing there & popping each one immediately after it’s made is an experience… you lose count of how many you had.

The staff are friendly & the owners take pride in engaging with each patron.

Ending the meal with masala chai is perfect. There’s also coffee.

Will certainly revisit.

Ganga Café in Bangsar is a popular spot for vegetarian fare, offering an all-Indian menu with plenty of choices from thali to dosas and curries. While the food is wholesome and portions are fair, the flavours tend to be on the milder side — so those expecting bold spices or punchy seasoning may find it a little underwhelming.

That said, it’s a decent place if you’re after a clean, meat-free meal in a casual café setting. Prices are reasonable, service is friendly, and the variety ensures you’ll find something to suit, even if the overall taste doesn’t quite stand out.

I came here with my husband and had a wonderful experience. The buffet food was tasty with a good variety. I really enjoyed the vadai with payasam, such a perfect combination! The tea at the end was just right, and the waiters were friendly and attentive. The price per head was reasonable for the spread and quality. Overall, a great place we would love to visit again.❤️

Annalakshmi Brickfields Get-Together
Highlights: pure vegetarian dishes

– *Ambiance*: The traditional Tamil Nadu-style architecture and vibrant artwork featuring gods and goddesses create a unique and immersive atmosphere.
– *Buffet*: For approximately MYR 35 (Malaysian Ringgit), the spread includes soup, starters, dosai, and multiple other items. While the price might be slightly on the higher side, the quality of food and ambiance justify the cost.
– *Food*: The buffet offers excellent taste and variety. A personal favorite w
as the Sevai, which was particularly delicious.

Overall Experience:
A fantastic spot for gatherings, Annapurna Brickfields offers a rich cultural ambiance and delectable South Indian cuisine. The experience is well worth the visit!

Where do I start……. Stunning restaurant, amazing service and probably to most tastiest vegan food ever!

We almost missed this restaurant (!), and only after spotting a sign took a gamble to walk up the stairs, only to be created by the smoothest jazz music and a warm welcome from Gab. We actually had to ask if we were in the right place and it was the vegan restaurant, as per the sign downstairs. (Our feedback to the owner (Cynthia), play some music at the stairs and have better signage), as I said we almost walked passed.

It was immediately clear, we were going to have a great experience, just by the ambiance and the care provided by the staff, asking if we had any food allergies or anything special to be created.

OMG, when the food arrived we were blown-away, so tasty and fresh. It wasn’t just the food, it was the attention to detail like the wine glasses were spotless etc etc.

Thanks for a great evening/meal and as we’re in KL for one month, we’ll be back many times! (We’ve booked for the jazz evening at the sister restaurant)

This lovely vegan cafe was a wonderful choice for dinner. As vegetarians traveling to KL, we were happy to be able to sample some Malaysian dishes. We felt the food was delicious, especially the satay. The interiors of the restaurant are also very aesthetic and well designed. Sui was a great server, very friendly and attentive!

The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was great. The staffs were consistently accommodating and genuinely friendly. The atmosphere was cozy, along with great music that added good vibes to the ambiance.

I highly recommend trying the Mama’s satay, mac ‘n’ cheese, ulam fried rice and miso ramen each dish stood out in its own unique way. Their freshly made mixed juices were wonderfully refreshing, a perfect complement to the meal.
Personally I recommend their mix juice orange with carrot or orange with watermelon.

All in all, a fantastic experience. I’ll definitely be recommending this place to friends.

One of the best vegan restaurants in my life – definitely the best restaurant you can find in Malaysia. Absolutely amazing. The service is a 10/10 as well as the food. We’ve been here for 3 times now and would love to take the whole restaurant including the friendly stuff with us to Germany. All the best and thanks a lot

Been in Malaysia less than a week and this place is already a favorite. Great atmosphere with cozy lighting, and it was packed on a Thursday evening which shows how popular it is.

The servers were amazing and really helpful. Had their crispy coconut salad and pancakes. The salad was amazing and really crispy. I was wondering if it would have a strong coconut flavor but it really doesn’t, so don’t avoid it if you’re not a coconut fan. Totally new experience for me. The pancakes were much healthier than I imagined and tasted great.

The hibiscus tea was perfect too. The whole vibe is really welcoming and it’s a good spot to hangout or chill solo. Staff made the experience even better with their friendly service. Definitely a highlight of my trip so far. Highly recommend this place!

We came here as I am a vegan, my sister is not but she is happy to colour with me.
The staff were very friendly and the food was out of this world delicious!
The decor was just lovely, and seating was comfortable.
We came for late lunch and my only slightly annoyance is that the jazz music was a bit too loud but that’s my personal preference.

What a fantastic find! The Hungry Tapir has a wonderful ambiance, and there was a great, vibrant crowd for our weekday lunch. The iconic location in historic Chinatown really adds to the charm and experience.

The food was outstanding. We tried their vegan variations on local Malay dishes, and it was such a treat. It’s fantastic that they offer the opportunity to experience these classic flavours in a completely plant-based way. The staff were absolutely lovely and welcoming, which made the visit even better. It’s places like this that make it easier and more joyful to live a life based on compassion and respect for ourselves and for the living creatures we share this planet with. Bravo!

Where Taste Speaks Softly but Surely

Savor brings together Scandinavian minimalism with Peranakan warmth
— a thoughtful blend of clean lines,
soft tones, and subtle heritage touches that make the space both welcoming
and distinct.

From the moment you walk in, the
team offers proactive and sincere service — not just warm smiles but attentive follow-through, from ordering to serving, done with care and proficiency.

Mid-high pricing, with decent portion sizes and a comprehensive menu that flows from starters to mains and desserts — a rare full-course curation in today’s dining scene.

Dishes are generally on par, with some room for flavor refinement, especially
if the team continues fine-tuning seasoning depth and balancing profiles.

That said, many plates already carry
their own culinary voice, a sign that the kitchen is not merely reproducing trends but shaping its own narrative.

This is a space not trying too hard to be different — and because of that, it quietly carves out its own position, one dish and gesture at a time.

I didn’t know vegan food can be this good. The server recommended this pasta to us and then we ordered the nasi kerabu as well. I wouldn’t say it’s like meat but you definitely wouldn’t miss the real meat. The dessert is also really good!

The curry noodles were tasty. The fries were cooked crisp and tasted great with the sauce. Nasi kerabu was nice and not too spicy. Probably need to work on the dim sum dishes though.

The server was hospitable, attentive and polite. Recommended dishes and answered our questions with explanations. Service was fast.

The atmosphere of Savor is air-conditioned, well decorated and lighted, and clean. There is some violin music in the background. The place is full for sunday lunch.

The food was fantastic. I got the merdeka lemak and banana fritters. All the components of the merdeka lemak was so flavourful and well made. There was crunch where needed and they were not stingy with the sides at all. The banana fritters is also my favourite ever as it was not greasy at all, and fried to crispy perfection. I really liked the mushroom dumplings from my mom’s power(?) bowl as well. The only slight downside is how expensive the tea was (maybe all teas are expensive in Malaysia nowadays).

I would come back for sure, vegan or not.

The service here is excellent. Violet is a true superstar!

That said, the food leaves a lot to be desired from Indian cuisine and at prices that do not at all correspond to its local counterparts.

We ordered 6-7 dishes – all tasted really bad except the one shown in the picture. But even this is an acquired taste: I loved it. My wife was not a fan but agrees it is the least bad dish.

Go here for the service – not the food.

Ok, I am going to start by saying the food we received was ok. But nothing you could not get from any northern Indian restaurant in KL. Maybe not as well presented but have experienced much better flavors at a fraction of the cost.
Although the staff were attentive, they offered little in the way of guidance with food selection, not helped by the fact menu is nigh on impossible to read. Name of dish was ok, but description was written in a blue text on blue background in possibly the smallest font size available. Maybe suggest a visual menu (photos) so we the customers can visualize what we are ordering.

Drinks service was slow, and no attempt to refresh our drinks or upsell us anything.

I do believe we were onl diners in restaurant at the time, so no excuse for the waiting and lack of service.

Overall on what we received and I am sure there were many wonderful dishes available, we just were not made aware of or recommended.

Overall we all agreed we probably not return

We went for dinner today . It was a party going on that was little disappointed. Food was not extra ordinary it was ok you can get the same taste in any North Indian restaurant in much cheaper price. Service was good , waiter was really good & hardworking . We did not received few things because of ongoing party there. Overall I will say it’s 3/5.

Cholas by WTF serves some of the best chaat you’ll find in KL. The pani puri stands out in particular—the pani is sharp, flavorful, and refreshing. Most of the menu leans toward bold flavors, so if you’re sensitive to spice, be prepared or ask the staff for guidance.

The setting is campy rather than luxurious—printed cushion banners on the wall, mismatched chairs, and upbeat music give it a casual, playful vibe. Prices, however, are closer to fine dining than street food, so it’s worth knowing before you go.

Come for the chaat and the energy, and you’ll leave satisfied—just don’t expect hawker prices or a polished fine-dining environment.

The restaurant is good for vegetarians as everything is vegetarian here. It’s a typical South Indian restaurant and hence there is no need to try other stuff as the same is not very great.
All the South Indian options we ordered were nice and met the expectations in a foreign land. However, when it comes to Chinese food, it was not at all good. The manchurian balls were only half cooked from inside, and one could easily find out just by tasting the dish. So, please go for South Indian options only when you go there.
Overall a very decent experience.
Happy eating!!!!
