Halab Beremi Arabic Restaurant presents a genuinely pleasant dining experience. The flavor profiles are well-executed, leaning towards authentic Arabic tastes. The lamb dishes, in particular, seemed to receive praise, offering a succulent and tender texture. It’s a solid choice for those seeking a taste of the region.

Leonard Leow

Halab Beremi Arabic Restaurant serves food that is generally acceptable, though I find some dishes a bit overpriced. Service can be inconsistent — while not everyone, a few staff members may come across as less friendly when taking orders or handling requests. On the positive side, the restaurant has nice décor and a pleasant environment, which makes dining here enjoyable. Overall, still a satisfying experience, but there’s room for improvement in service quality.

J Lastrado

A Mediterranean restaurant worth returning to. The only setback was the bread, it would have been perfect if it were the hot and fluffy homemade Khobz (traditional Arabic flatbread).

The grilled meat was standard, hummus was creamy, the shawarma surprisingly flavourful and enjoyable, and the mandi rice was fluffy, aromatic, and delicious. The lamb was tender and succulent, making the meal satisfying overall.

Halab Beremi Arabic is a solid choice if you’re looking for well-grilled meat. The food is well-prepared, with the meat standing out as particularly tasty. The atmosphere is simple and functional—nothing extraordinary, but perfectly acceptable for a casual meal.

It’s a place you can comfortably visit for a decent meal, though it isn’t a must-visit. Still, we would consider returning, especially if we’re in the mood for good grilled dishes. If you’re nearby and craving Arabic cuisine, it’s worth a try, but you won’t be missing out if you skip it.

Great food. Had the chicken shawarma sandwich and grilled chicken drums. The chicken drums were great. Also got the mint lemonade which was very tall and refreshing. The garlic sauce is great as well.

Food was appetizing but not exceptional. Lamb rice meals were satisfactorily portioned with flavourful cuts of meat. Chicken Kebab just nice. Pistachio Shake was decent, not overly sweet. Service crew was polite despite food taking quite sometime to arrive. Enchantingly dreamy ambience indeed.

We were hungry that we overestimated our capability & capacity to eat!

The serving is huge and the lamb chunks in lamb haneeth & royal lamb are very generous. We have to pack home some left-overs!

Suiting the resto name, the set-up is royal-like. You really can take time, laze about & have a peaceful conversation with your family or friends.

Kids can enjoy themselves watching cartoons from the huge tv screens…these are available on the 3rd floor.

2nd floor is calmer & brighter condition compared to 3rd.

Above all, we enjoyed our lunch. there

I recently went to this restaurant and was very happy with the waitress service. Her name is Mala. She greeted us with a smile and was very polite. She explained the menu clearly and gave good suggestions.
Her kindness and professionalism made our dining experience enjoyable. I believe good service like this makes customers want to come again.

I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place)))
Delicious Arabic cuisine! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The hummus, bbq fish and kebabs were especially amazing – juicy, well-seasoned, and full of authentic Middle Eastern taste.
The portions were generous, and the staff was friendly and helpful, giving great recommendations and explaining the menu.
The place has a cozy and warm atmosphere with lovely Arabic decor. Thank you for such a tasty experience!

Don’t believe the high Google ratings this place is overrated. Staff were busy chatting while we pressed the service button again and again. Zero attention, zero friendliness (except one hijabi staff who was the only decent one)… ☝

Food? Awful. Chicken smelled bad, rice was dry and undercooked. Worst meal I’ve ever had in Bukit Bintang. Drinks were okay, but that’s it.

Halab , Damascus and other related is 10x better. If they keep this quality and attitude, this place won’t last long and honestly, it shouldn’t.

My wife and I were here this evening for dinner – we are from Johor Bahru, currently visiting Kuala Lumpur. We ordered an Arabic Salad, a Muhamarra, and an Arabic Shawarma Chicken. The Salad was very refreshingly good. The Muhamarra or red chilli dip was very good and paired well with the accompanying warm Arabic bread. And the Shawarma was fantastic and so many add-ons – from the creamy sauces, to the coleslaw, to the pickles, to the thick cut fries – and of course, the Shawarma Chicken itself was a delight. Service here was very good – very friendly and attentive. And the dining ambience here was very comfortable. I highly recommend Tarbush.

Let’s start with the food, in one word, it tastes amazing, I tried the lamb and the chicken shwarma and both were pretty amazing and authentic taste. The fries were really good, spiced up as well, and everything else on the platter was also pretty good. We also ordered a burger and hummus, the hummus wasn’t really the best, not exactly the most authentic one either. The drinks were also pretty good but felt a bit overpriced given the quantity. The staff were really nice as well and helpful, easy to communicate with them and they were pretty polite.

Food also came fast, within 10-15 minutes of ordering. The interior and atmosphere is also pretty amazing and nicely decorated. Cozy and warm. Would definitely recommend trying it out. A solid 9/10 for me

This was an absolute rip-off. I paid RM 68.90 for a takeaway Mandi Chicken from Tarbush (Bukit Bintang), and all I got was some rice with only 1/4 of a chicken. Charging almost RM 70 for just a small piece of chicken and rice is ridiculous.

The portion size is a joke compared to the price. Other restaurants in KL serve a full or half chicken mandi for much less. This feels like they are exploiting customers, especially tourists.

The food quality was average, the chicken was nothing special, and the packaging was just a cheap plastic box. For this price, it’s insulting.

One of the worst value meals I’ve ever had. Avoid this place if you don’t want to be overcharged for 1/4 chicken at RM 68.90.

This place brought back great memories of back home, Lattakia – especially the fattet bel zeit we used to have every Friday back home, and this dish definitely lived up to that vibe.
Lovely authentic Syrian food for those who appreciate authentic Syrian cuisine. Phenomenal experience, and the price definitely reflects the authenticity and the freshness of the produce.

Highly overated. Food was cold, uninteresting flavours from something you can’t go wrong – chicken fahsa and mulawah bread. The arabic chicken shawarma was very dry and hard.

Service was really slow and the staff looks so unmotivated. Food was already ready at the kitchen but took forever to reach the table. Bell rang 5 times by the chef.

Only the ambiance was kinda nice and the ample parking.

Juadah berbuka puasa dengan nasi mandy lamb, rasa nasi tak berapa kick macam dulu, daging kambing tak fresh macam lama pun ada, sambal cili arab sangat lah cair macam save sangat. Lagi 1 jus nenas masyaallah cair dan tawar. Yg ok hanyalah pemanis mulut puding susu. Makan 3 orang habis dlm rm210++. Harga makin mahal tapi kualiti makin kurang. Kecewa sangat.

Been visiting Al Rawsha since their old days of owning a stall at Garuda Indonesian food in Kampung baru (opposite Zikay) with my late dad. They have massively upgraded over the years, but have tried their best to keep to their authentic taste. The beef shawarma platter is my go-to comfort food and brings me back to my younger years when times were much simpler. Food has huge portions and is decently priced for the massive amounts you’re getting.

Also, huge shout out to Sulaiman who catered to my every request and served me very very well, almost like he can read my mind and my needs.

Al Rawsha Restaurant KL, with famous middle easterners touch and Arabic finest food with an impressively grand exterior and interior that has top notch dining experience in nostalgia.

Chicken kabsa, Lamb Mendy and Nasi Arab are truly stars of the show, fullest cooked chicken meat were so tender and easily fell off the bones.

Lots of good recipes been used for the salads and their tea was superego, their bread was nice and hot too, with many sauces. Best presented foods and dishes. Big portions of dishes and best decent eatery choice for large gatherings.

Having quick dinner after meeting and suprise birthday celebration for boss and myself. Superb service from the staff.

Very bad experience at Tarbush Starhill. Customer service was extremely poor and unprofessional. Prices are unjustifiably high for the quality of food served.

I ordered the lamb cubes, and they came with a pungent, unpleasant smell and were very dry. When I told the manager, Nowruz, instead of addressing the issue professionally, he argued with me. He even said he would cancel the order but still charge for the three pieces that smelled bad. That was highly unprofessional.

Other dishes ordered were also overpriced and mediocre in quality. Overall, this restaurant is not worth the money and does not live up to expectations. I would not recommend it.

We ordered the lamb mandi and hummus, and we enjoyed the meal. The lamb was juicy, tender, and flavorful. While I’m not usually a big fan of hummus, I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was here. The restaurant also has a cozy and private atmosphere. The prices are fairly similar to other Middle Eastern restaurants in the area. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience.

The food was absolutely outstanding. We’ve had the privilege of trying mandi rice across several Middle Eastern countries and this place ranks among the very best. The portions were generous and the meat was perfectly tender and flavorful.
Restoran Hadramawt Palace in Bukit Bintang staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Special mention goes to Manager Ahmad and staff member Ali who were both highly professional.
The environment was fantastic spacious, cozy and perfect for family gatherings.

Hadramout palace in Kuala Lumpur is a nice place for anyone craving Yemeni food. We ordered Baram lamb, local-style liver, charcoal-grilled chicken, along with a variety of fresh salads and appetizers — and everything was truly delicious.

They also serve Mofa Fish and many traditional Yemeni dishes, but this time we focused on the grills and meat dishes. The flavors were balanced, the meat was tender, and the portions were generous.

The restaurant is spacious with both indoor and outdoor seating. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming. Special thanks to Mr. Yasser, the owner, for his kind hospitality.

Definitely worth visiting if you’re in KL and looking for good Yemeni food.

Wonderful food and amazing hospitality from Tasha. She noticed my parents glancing at the air conditioner and immediately suggested a warmer corner table, even adjusting the chair for greater comfort.
The lentil soup is a great starter, subtly spiced and comforting, brightened by a squeeze of lemon. Falafel and babaghanoush were both excellent. The chicken mandy came highly recommended, justifiably so – the chicken was well marinated and the rice came with a generous sprinkling of fried shallots. The flavourful soup complemented the rice well.

Don’t forget to order the kunafa, it’s absolutely delicious. We usually shy away from sugary desserts but Bedouin brilliantly serves the syrup separately, allowing us to customise the level of sweetness. The kunafa was shatteringly crispy on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside. Well worth the wait for a freshly made dessert.

Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Chicken shawarma is nice. Could be better with nicer sauce. I like the garlic sauce that is served separately. The chicken and rice is okay but lacking flavor on the chicken. Could be better in terms of flavor.
Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Very good service, the staff is very friendly, polite, and professional. They talk nicely, and respectfully.
Price ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
their shawarma that is on promotion at the time of writing this review. The rest of their menu price is not too bad, quite average for Arab food.
Environment ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I like that they have an indoor and outdoor area, lighting is nice and warm, cool interior.

Flavorful Mandy chicken rice . My husband had lamb with gravy and okra in it . I can’t remember the name but it was good it just I think less meat in or the meat dissolve in the gravy I don’t know . The staff also very good and attentive to our request . The kunafah was served hot and we can add sugar at our liking as they serve the syrup separately . But we have to wait for 30 mins for the kunafah hence the staff has informed us about prior ordering . And yes we said we were willing to wait . It it was worth it . I like it .

The mandi rice alone is worth 5 stars. I still don’t get how a dish can be so simple (in that there aren’t a lot of different flavours) but so complex (in that it’s smoky, rich and so flavourful despite looking so unassuming).

We return to this place for a team luncheon after our first try pre-mco. It is still as good as we remembered. The portions are huge and great for sharing. We order the appetizer and rice sharing platters, together with mixed grill and one additional lamb kabsah and kunafa as dessert. I must say, the food is really good and the ambience is great for either business / casual gatherings. Reservation was easy, but I do wished that the waiter that host/serve our table has a bit more initiative in recommending us the singnature menu or at least notify us that the appetiser platter excluded the breads, because when it was served, another waitress told us we needed to add the bread for better tasting experience (it’s how it should be eaten.. ). Overall affordable and tasty experience for a team of 7pax. Will be bringing my family for a different (arabian) culinary adventure next time.

Went for lunch on a public holiday and ordered hummus, tandoori chicken, and tea. The ambience was pleasant, and both the hummus and tea were enjoyable.

However, -2 stars because:
1. Outdoor seating was hot, the fan didn’t help much.
2. The tandoori chicken had a strong taste and smell, possibly from infused oil. Not sure what it was, but it was off-putting enough that I couldn’t eat it.
3. They refused to serve plain water in a glass and only offered bottled mineral water at RM6. Felt unnecessarily money-minded.
4. Service was slow and not very attentive.

I went to Lazeez for lunch today. The shop opens at 11:30, but my two friends and I arrived early, before 12:10, and we were the first to dine. The atmosphere inside the shop is cozy and inviting, with warm lighting and friendly staff that make you feel welcome right away. The decor has a nice blend of traditional Arabic touches and modern comfort, making it a pleasant place to enjoy your meal.

The food was great because I came here from work for lunch since they had a lunch set with everything under 30 RM. I bought the chicken kebab platter. I thought you could only pick one, like roti or nasi, but there are both in the platter, which was a nice surprise. The waiter gave us a free cup of 100 Plus as a gesture since we were the first to come before the shop opened.

We waited 30 minutes for the food. I think the wait was because the shop had just opened, so I don’t want to complain much. For the three of us, the total payment was only 65 RM. What a shop! I always thought Arabic food was overpriced here, but wow, this is a bargain.

In terms of cheapness, Lazeez is cheaper than Damascus and Halab.

Lets talk about the food first. I tried the haneed rice, it was pretty good, the soup and tomato puree was really good. The chicken was also okay. But is it worth the price? I am not too sure. Also got grilled chicken with bread and spicy potatoes. The chicken was good but again, not worth the price. The potatoes felt a bit undercooked, was not soft enough. Same with the potatoes with the rice, it wasn’t cooked till soft. The menu felt a bit limited, didn’t have much items I felt like.

As for the service, its okay. But could be better. 7/10. The environment is nice and cozy, like any other arab restaurant. I feel like this restaurant is more catered towards tourists then arabs, and barely any arab staff present.

Expect to find dishes like hummus, falafel, shawarma, kebabs, mansaf, and various grilled meats and vegetarian options.

Are Middle Eastern restaurants generally expensive in Kuala Lumpur?

The price range varies considerably. Some offer budget-friendly options with simple dishes, while others are more upscale with a broader menu and fancier ambiance. Generally, Middle Eastern food is relatively affordable compared to some other international cuisines. Do Middle Eastern restaurants in KL cater to vegetarian and vegan diets?

Yes, many Middle Eastern restaurants are quite accommodating to vegetarian and vegan diets. Dishes like hummus, falafel, tabbouleh, and various salads are naturally vegetarian and often vegan. However, it's always best to confirm ingredients with the restaurant, as some dishes may contain dairy or animal products. Several restaurants explicitly offer vegan sections or options.

This is a convenient option if you’re looking for a delicious meal without leaving your home or office. However, some smaller establishments might only offer dine-in experiences.
