Reached at the premise at 12:15pm, food arrived 12:55pm. It’s peak lunch hour, understand that. Staff service was commendable. Staff Sin Sin greeted us with warm smile and attended us professionally. Great customer service and hope the premise can maintain current service and further improve whenever necessary.

We had previously ordered the Garlic Honey Butter Chicken for delivery and loved it so much that this time we decided to visit the restaurant in person.
As expected, having it freshly made took it to a whole new level—it was absolutely delicious!

We also tried the Kimchi Pancake and the mango dessert topped with ice cream.
Both were tasty, although the pancake was a bit different from what we’re used to in Korea. It was thicker than expected and had a unique flavor, but it was still satisfying and enjoyable.

We ordered the small size of the mango dessert, but it was so big that we thought it might have been a mistake
Even between the two of us, we couldn’t finish it! It completely chilled us to the core, and as soon as we left the restaurant, we had to run and grab a hot coffee to warm up.

Korean food in Malaysia? Sign me up!
Food was amazing and portion size can definitely feed 2, we ended up taking half home they did supply use with take away box/bag.

This is one of the top places when visiting KL so we were not surprised to find ourselves waiting in line for a table, service slightly slow to be expected the place was full of locals and tourists.

Had a clue little merch shop with food and accessories as we were leaving, something to consider as gifts

This place was really nice and the food is so great that I wish if I could eat everyday. I was a foreigner and it was my first time trying Korean chicken and it was mouth watering. I should definitely mention the staff there. They asked my spice level and they were really friendly. And I was served with a soft ice cream on the house!! I was really impressed and that experience was amazing.

✨Suasana & Vibes

Lagu K‑pop slow played and fun burst..
eloklah lepas shopping terus boleh singgah
yang buat kita lupa dunia sekejap…

️Makanan & Signature Menu
Order K’razy Spicy Cheesy Fried Chicken
Ayam boneless salut tepung rangup, dilimpahi sos Yangnyeom pedas manis, lalu keju mozzarella cair dibalut satu persatu atas meja—teknik nya korang boleh refer video jelah, rasa pedas-creamy.

Bulgogi Fries: French fries salut daging bulgogi rangup manis, mayonis dengan sos.
Ada rasa savoury manis dan rasa umami

‍ 3. Servis Pelanggan
Servisnya pantas & mesra… staf datang cek menu dgn senyum maneh dan tanya tahap kepedasan.
Bila aku tanya combo mana best layan untuk dua orang— confident, siap bagi tip ambil portion tengah. Syiok jugak bila diorang tolong prep the foods depan mata; interaksi sebegini strikes joy!

4.Harga & Nilai

We enjoyed a wonderful evening at Kwing at Butwick-Bintang with our family of four. We ordered a variety of dishes, including Sweet & Sour Chicken and a Korean-style burger. The food was delicious, the restaurant was clean, and the atmosphere was perfect for an evening out. The prices were also very reasonable.

Price is affordable
Food taste 3/5, rice was half-cooked
Most of ingredients are frozen one, they just need to fry.
They serve really good and fresh beer,
The waitress tonight a bit ignorant, i asked for extra sauce but she said yes but never appeared again.
Overall, just for a try, not recommend.

First time to LaLaport and came across this restaurant as I was craving for some Korean food.

Decent prices with set options.

However, their non Korean dishes tasted better.

I wouldn’t return for Korean food but for the creamy butter chicken as my partner had it and it was very delicious.

KyoChon Chicken @ Pavilion KL offers a consistently enjoyable experience. The flavor profiles of their chicken are well-executed, delivering that signature crispy exterior and succulent interior that’s characteristic of Korean fried chicken. The staff are generally friendly and attentive, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere.

While the pricing might feel a touch high for the portion sizes offered, the overall quality of the ingredients and the meticulous preparation justify the cost. It’s a great spot for a casual meal or a small gathering when you’re seeking something a little different.

Usual order of 8pcs of soy fried chicken and sotteok. Sinful but satisfying – although their chicken pieces are getting so small so really not worth it nowadays.

Wanted to try their new dosirak but only 4pcs of chicken so it won’t probably satiate me.

I recently visited this Korean restaurant and had a mixed experience. There are definitely some things I liked — the service was impressively fast; I got my food just 10 minutes after ordering. The interior is clean and well-maintained, with cutleries and tissues thoughtfully placed on each table. I ordered the Tuesday lunch offer, the katsu chicken rice, which was crispy on the outside and juicy inside — really well done. And RM23 is decent for the big portion of lunch meal.

However, the ordering process was confusing. There’s a sign at the front counter that says “Order & Pay Here,” so I lined up and waited, only to be told that I needed to sit down and scan a QR code to order from my phone. It would be helpful if this was clarified better to avoid unnecessary waiting.

As for the food, while the katsu chicken itself was great, I was a bit let down by the rice and curry. The rice is not Japanese rice, and the curry tasted more like local Malaysian curry with a thicker texture — not quite the Japanese-style curry I expected.

Overall, it’s a decent spot with good service and cleanliness, but there’s room for improvement, especially in communication and authenticity of some dishes.
Thank you.

I had sundubu jjigae and potato pancake while my friend had doenjang jjigae and toppoki. Sundubu was quite nice and flavorful but it needs to be more sour imo and i don’t really dig the side dishes. Potato pancake was crispy but i would prefer it to be paired with chilli sauce instead of that bland soy sauce. The portion was appropriate and fulfilling unlike your typical mall restaurants.

Finally! A place where I can say, their jjajangmyeon is delicious! I searched high and low before this, but none did managed to make me crave for it.

The jjajangmyeon itself is I would say, just nice. It has that perfect blend of sweetness, savoury and also sourness (thanks to the kimchi provided). The portions are also quite big, so at least for guys, you know you’ll be satiated after finishing the meal.

The place itself is not too small, and not too big. We went there around lunch hour on weekdays, which is crazy packed with office people. So maybe don’t go there around that time if you want a more smoother and less busy experience.

The acoustics is not good, considering how narrow the space between each tables are. So don’t expect to talk too much here. More of a “quick bite to eat” kinda places, and not the hangout type of places.

In conclusion, we’d probably come again but at a less busier time of the day. Maybe to try their other menus, like the Sundubu Jigae for instance. Recommended.

Affordable price for Korean food. Hangul chicken deopbap & bulgogi beef rice are ok. Ganjag wings & drumett is poor, not crispy & not authentic compared to other Korean fried chicken. Fast food service, but they missed our snack order. Need to remind them to cook.

Had a great experience at Myondeong Topokki in Mid Valley. The food tastes amazing—flavorful and satisfying, especially for the price. It’s a great spot if you’re craving Korean street food without breaking the bank. Highly recommend for quick, tasty meals. Will definitely come back!

The Kimchi Bokkeumbap here is absolutely the best I’ve ever had! The fried rice is perfectly cooked, packed with rich kimchi flavor, and has the right balance of spice and savoriness. Every bite feels comforting yet exciting. If you’re a fan of Korean fried rice, this is definitely a must-try dish at Myendong Mid Valley. Truly worth 5 stars!

They have set menu you can choose from and side dishes can refill up to 3 times. Only green tea drink can refill up to 3 times as well.
The staff are very friendly and courteous.
The food taste is ok. Except for the tamago, it was rather frozen, tasted like ice.
The atmosphere is nice and cozy.

The Super Boring Club serves many great cuts of meat, we really enjoyed their beef tongue and their black angus.

Next to their meat cuts we also ordered their sweet potato fries with salted egg dip which was very flavorful and delicious. Their lychee drink is also a big recommendation as its not too sweet!

Sae Ma Eul BBQ • Solaris Mont Kiara offers a compelling Korean BBQ experience, although the value proposition can be variable. The atmosphere is generally pleasant, and the staff demonstrate a commitment to providing attentive service. While the overall quality of the meats seems good based on feedback, consistency in portion sizes, particularly when ordering set menus, seems to be a point of potential concern for some diners.

The appeal of this establishment lies in the potential for a delicious and interactive meal. However, prospective customers should be mindful of menu descriptions and pricing structures, ensuring that expectations align with what is actually delivered. It’s a place that showcases authentic Korean flavors and offers a social dining atmosphere, but careful consideration of set options is advised for maximum satisfaction.

⭐ Sae Ma Eul BBQ – Kuala Lumpur
Hi, I’m Vanna. I tried the 38++ buffet set here with 5 types of meat. Super worth it for the price. The marinated pork was definitely my favorite – flavorful and really well-seasoned.

They offer 4 kinds of free banchan and fresh lettuce, which was a nice bonus. The staff were friendly and helpful. I sat outside and the area was spacious and airy, not too smoky.

The only thing is the location – there’s no train nearby, only buses, so a bit inconvenient if you don’t drive.

Overall, great Korean BBQ spot in KL for a good price. Would come back!

Ordered Set A with 2 rice, thinking it would be a decent meal. But what a letdown. Portion size was ridiculously small just as other customer mentioned, just a few slices of pork belly and pork shoulder, plus some baby octopus. That’s it. Paid nearly RM110.

What we got was nowhere near what the menu advertised, the photos looked so enticing and generous, but the real thing? Disappointing and misleading.

For that price, it’s just not worth it. Won’t be returning.

Food was okay. We ordered Set A (RM84), but it felt like we got cheated compared to what was shown on the menu. The portion and items we received didn’t match our expectations at all. For the price, it’s really disappointing. Definitely not worth it.

You should really consider changing your menu picture to better reflect what customers will actually receive.

We had the set of RM 39 per person all you can eat pork & chicken and side dishes. The meat was decent and side dishes were tasty. The kimchi was yummy, right balance of all flavours. The side dishes were brought to us but the refill were done by ourselves. Cold water was available. Except the meat and lettuce, the rest is self-served. Overall speaking, good value for money, will come again.

Fairly busy place burstling with customers. Probably the most famous eatery around. Very decent food with a do-it-yourself fire place. This place gets quite crowded during dinner, so be prepared to wait a bit for a table. But it’s definitely worth it! The kimchi here is absolutely amazing and a must-try. I never skip the spicy beef soup and cold noodles—they’re my go-to dishes every visit. The unlimited refills of side dishes are a great bonus and keep the meal satisfying. I stumbled upon this Korean restaurant on Google and decided to give it a try for dinner.

We ordered beef bone soup, pork bone soup, pancake, and bibimbap. All the dishes were delicious, and the flavors were very close to what I’ve had in Korea.

However, the pancake was disappointing — the flour taste was too strong and there was too little seafood. I wouldn’t recommend this dish.
Also, they didn’t provide toothpicks, and the side dishes could only be refilled once.

Authentic flavors and warm atmosphere!

I recently visited this Korean restaurant and was genuinely impressed. Their yukgaejang is easily one of the best I’ve had — rich, spicy, and full of tender shredded beef that hits the spot, especially on a rainy day. I also highly recommend their seafood pajeon — crispy on the outside, soft and packed with fresh seafood inside.

The staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and the place has a cozy vibe that makes you want to linger a bit longer. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion sizes.

If you’re craving hearty, authentic Korean comfort food, this place won’t disappoint. I’ll definitely be back!

Probably one of the best Korean restaurants ever visited in Malaysia. As a local K food lover, this place offers a different level of food and services, from the basic side dishes to the classic beef sirloin soup, they tasted really good. The best one has to be the seafood pancake. Definitely gonna come back again to try their BBQ dishes.

Frequently Asked Questions about Korean Restaurants in Kuala Lumpur

What is the difference between Korean BBQ and other Korean cuisine?

While Korean cuisine is incredibly diverse, Korean BBQ (KBBQ) is a unique dining experience. It typically involves grilling marinated meats – like bulgogi (beef), galbi (ribs), and samgyeopsal (pork belly) – at your table. Other Korean dishes encompass a wider range, including soups, stews, rice dishes, and fermented vegetables like kimchi.

What is 'banchan' and why is it served?

Banchan refers to the assortment of small side dishes served with Korean meals. These typically include kimchi, pickled vegetables, seasoned greens, and sometimes more elaborate items. They are an integral part of the Korean dining experience, meant to complement the main dishes and provide a variety of flavors and textures. The variety and quality of banchan often reflects the restaurant’s commitment to authentic Korean cuisine.

What are some must-try Korean dishes besides Korean BBQ?

Beyond Korean BBQ, there's a world of delicious Korean food to explore. Bibimbap (mixed rice with vegetables and meat), Kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew), Sundubu jjigae (soft tofu stew), and Japchae (glass noodles stir-fry) are all popular and flavorful options. Don’t forget to try Korean fried chicken, often coated in a sweet and spicy sauce.

What is the average price range for a meal at a Korean restaurant in Kuala Lumpur?

The price range for a meal at a Korean restaurant in Kuala Lumpur can vary widely. A simple bowl of bibimbap might cost around RM15-RM25, while a Korean BBQ meal per person can easily range from RM40-RM80 or more, depending on the cuts of meat and the restaurant’s ambiance. Some places offer affordable set lunches, while others cater to a more premium dining experience.

How do I order Korean BBQ? What’s the etiquette?

When ordering Korean BBQ, it's common to choose a set menu or order individual meat cuts a la carte. Servers usually grill the meat for you initially, but you can take over and grill yourself. It's considered polite to share dishes and offer food to those around you. Using the provided cutlery – including lettuce leaves for wrapping the meat – is part of the customary dining practice.

Are there Korean restaurants that cater to vegetarian or vegan diets?

While traditional Korean cuisine heavily features meat, increasingly more Korean restaurants in Kuala Lumpur are offering vegetarian and vegan options. Look for dishes like vegetable bibimbap, kimchi jjigae (often made with mushroom broth), and vegetable pancakes. Always inquire about ingredients when ordering, as many dishes contain fish sauce or other animal-derived products.

What is the best way to find authentic Korean restaurants?

Finding truly authentic Korean restaurants often involves looking beyond the mainstream. Check Korean community forums or online reviews specifically mentioning authenticity. Look for restaurants frequented by Korean expats or those that feature traditional Korean décor and Korean-speaking staff. Pay attention to the banchan selection, as it's a strong indicator of authenticity.

What's the difference between Korean and Japanese restaurants?

While both cuisines are popular in Kuala Lumpur, there are key differences. Korean food generally has stronger and bolder flavors, often relying on fermented ingredients like kimchi and gochujang (Korean chili paste). Japanese cuisine tends to be more focused on delicate flavors and presentation, often emphasizing seafood and rice. Korean portions are frequently larger than Japanese portions. The overall dining experience also varies considerably.

Do most Korean restaurants offer delivery services?

Many Korean restaurants in Kuala Lumpur now offer delivery services, either through their own platforms or through popular food delivery apps. This is a convenient way to enjoy Korean cuisine from the comfort of your home. Check the restaurant’s website or delivery app listing to confirm delivery areas and fees. Be mindful that some dishes may not travel as well when delivered.

Are Korean restaurants suitable for large groups or special occasions?

Korean restaurants are generally well-suited for large groups and special occasions. Many have large tables perfect for sharing, and the interactive nature of Korean BBQ makes it a fun and engaging experience for all. Some restaurants offer private rooms for more intimate gatherings. Reservations are highly recommended, especially for peak hours and large parties.
