Reached at the premise at 12:15pm, food arrived 12:55pm. It’s peak lunch hour, understand that. Staff service was commendable. Staff Sin Sin greeted us with warm smile and attended us professionally. Great customer service and hope the premise can maintain current service and further improve whenever necessary.

We had previously ordered the Garlic Honey Butter Chicken for delivery and loved it so much that this time we decided to visit the restaurant in person.
As expected, having it freshly made took it to a whole new level—it was absolutely delicious!

We also tried the Kimchi Pancake and the mango dessert topped with ice cream.
Both were tasty, although the pancake was a bit different from what we’re used to in Korea. It was thicker than expected and had a unique flavor, but it was still satisfying and enjoyable.

We ordered the small size of the mango dessert, but it was so big that we thought it might have been a mistake
Even between the two of us, we couldn’t finish it! It completely chilled us to the core, and as soon as we left the restaurant, we had to run and grab a hot coffee to warm up.

Korean food in Malaysia? Sign me up!
Food was amazing and portion size can definitely feed 2, we ended up taking half home they did supply use with take away box/bag.

This is one of the top places when visiting KL so we were not surprised to find ourselves waiting in line for a table, service slightly slow to be expected the place was full of locals and tourists.

Had a clue little merch shop with food and accessories as we were leaving, something to consider as gifts

This place was really nice and the food is so great that I wish if I could eat everyday. I was a foreigner and it was my first time trying Korean chicken and it was mouth watering. I should definitely mention the staff there. They asked my spice level and they were really friendly. And I was served with a soft ice cream on the house!! I was really impressed and that experience was amazing.

We ordered the Supreme set at RM498 per person. Before coming, I had high expectations, but after trying it, I must say the sashimi was not as fresh as what I had before. Sorry to say this, but since it is sashimi, freshness is very important to avoid any risk of bacterial infection.

The most disappointing part was the mirugai sashimi. The first time I ordered it, it was nice, so I reordered. But the second serving had a strong fishy smell. I asked the waiter to change it, but the replacement still had the same smell.

Overall, the experience was okay but for a bill of over RM1,000, I feel it’s slightly on the high side. The food was not as fresh as I expected — some sashimi even had a fishy taste.

That said, I have to give credit to the service and environment. The staff were attentive and even surprised us with a cake for our anniversary, which was a very nice gesture.

Food 3 star

We came here on Thursday for lunch, and we tried the Supreme Set for 486++ per person, which includes cocktails, beers, sake and plenty of king crab or stone crab.

Overall, the quality of the food is higher then other all you can eat a la carte buffet, but you pay for it.

One thing you need to be aware of is the although the booking is from 1PM to 3PM sitting, you find out at 2:30Pm that you must put in your last order for food or drinks. The good thing is that they don’t rush you out at 3PM.

I liked the king crabs in any style they had with the exception of the King Crab Cheese Yaki, but it was still edible.
The last order of steamed King Crab was a bit saltier. Maybe they were out of it, and cooked it in a rush. Now, I know why I like the American way of dipping it in the butter sauce.

The caviar was also good but different from what I am used to with toast melba.
I definitely, recommend to try the Caviar Cone and the Umi Cone, which are served in the waffle cone.
The platter with Scampi, Aka and Ama Abi was delicious and made me feel like back in Japan.
The Aburi Wagyu Sukiyaki was very good too.
Keep in mind that the portions are pretty small, and I think this is good cause it helps to limit waste.

The Rum & Sprite was surprisingly not too sweet, but strangely served in Martini glass straight up. Anyway, all the cocktails have a good amount of booze in it.

Absolutely the best seafood Japanese buffet I’ve been to! The variety is amazing — fresh sashimi, juicy prawns, oysters, grilled seafood, and so many other delicious dishes. Everything was super fresh and well-prepared. The price is very reasonable for the quality and selection you get, definitely the best value around. Staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better.

If you’re a fan of fresh sashimi and authentic Japanese-style buffets, Hut Dining is truly a hidden gem worth discovering. From the moment we stepped in, we were warmly greeted by their friendly and attentive staff. They were always ready with a smile, quick to assist, and made sure our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional.

The buffet spread was impressive — offering a wide variety of sashimi, sushi, grilled items, and cooked dishes that cater to every palate. The sashimi, in particular, stood out for its freshness and generous portions — thick cuts of salmon, tuna, and butterfish that practically melted in the mouth. Each dish was beautifully presented and constantly replenished, showing the team’s commitment to quality.

What made the meal even better was the comfortable and cozy atmosphere, perfect for both family gatherings and casual hangouts with friends. Every visit feels like a trip to Japan without leaving town!

Overall, Hut Dining delivers on quality, service, and value. Highly recommended for anyone craving a premium sashimi buffet with warm hospitality and a delightful dining experience. ❤️

After the renovation, this was my first time back at Dragon I and I must say, I met one of the best waiters I’ve ever encountered in Malaysia’s F&B industry Mr. Min Oo.

His service easily outshines the Chinese lady and male captains in suits, who honestly weren’t attentive at all!!!!!!!!!!!

Min Oo was outstanding !! he cleared dirty plates promptly, replaced them without me asking, and refilled sauces before I even noticed they were low. Each time he served a dish, he greeted politely, said thank you and sincerely wished us to enjoy our meal. His attentiveness and genuine manners really stood out.

To be honest, I haven’t experienced such amazing service in a very long time. Meanwhile both captains in black suits were just standing around, not looking out for customer needs at all.

I even asked to see his name tag because I wanted to know who this gem was “Min Oo” truly deserves recognition for making our dining experience memorable!

Food was great and atmosphere was awesome. However service needs to be improved. Most wait staff were foreign and had issues speaking English or Mandarin so ordering was an issue. Also, they told me the appetizer was not charged even though it was and he had issue explaining the dishes. Nevertheless still 5 star overall

The Peking Duck Two Course set was decent. The first course being the Crispy skin and sliced meat had good aroma without any gamey smell. This was good but certainly not the best I’ve had. The second course of the fried carcass however turned out somewhat hard and dry. I don’t appreciate that you have to order the pancake and condiments separately.

Fish Slice with Sour Vegetables was decent but not sour enough.

Stir fried vegetables and stir fried mushrooms were also decent. I preferred the mushrooms with the spicy sauce and this is Recommended.

The Cold chicken dish was flat and somewhat tasteless.

The Steamed Bao with Molten Salted Egg filling was good. The filling was runny and not overly sweet or salty. This is Recommended as well.

Overall the food was decent and service was attentive.

The menu presents a selection of familiar café fare, with a focus on fresh ingredients and simple preparation. It’s a great spot for a relaxed lunch or a casual meeting with friends, providing a laid-back feel.

While the range of items is solid, the pricing might be a little higher than comparable locations. Their attention to detail in presentation is noteworthy. Overall, it’s a dependable choice for a quick bite and a comfortable atmosphere with friendly staff, but be prepared for a slightly premium price point.

Lovely place to catch up with friends and family when the weather is not too humid as this place is an open-air concept. Simple meals are quite fresh and tasty. However there are similar cafes in Klang Valley that offers the same taste meals with lower price. In my view food is overhyped here.
Their brownie should reduce sugar, both the “cake” and the topping/drizzle are sweet. A bitter chocolate drizzle is better to balance the cake sweetness. Best to just reduce sugar in the “cake”.

tried the arriabata bacon pasta and the lamb meatballs sandwich. the pasta was excellent, full of flavour and a nice level of spice, very tasty! the presentation of the pasta was very impressive as well.

the sandwich though was a bit of a letdown. i loved how cheesy it was and it was cooked very well, but the portions of meatball was way too little. sloppy presentation too.

overall, i’d still recommend this restaurant and would love to go back and try the other items!

ANGELA SEOW

I really enjoyed the shakshouka here, it was well-seasoned and definitely the highlight of the meal. However, I felt the pizza could use some improvement. The crust was quite hard and had more of a biscuit-like texture, which made it less enjoyable. I suspect this might be due to the type of flour used, as it didn’t have the light and chewy texture I usually expect from a good pizza base.

We chose to sit outside, and while it was quite hot, it was still manageable and added to the casual atmosphere.

The service, on the other hand, was great. Staff were attentive and friendly.

Ordered one of the sets (forgot the name!) and it was really nice, not too heavy but still filling. The cucur udang was a standout and the satay was tender and juicy. Loved the classy interior, very elegant. Prices are high, but the quality of the food makes up for it.

Food is very good here. Dishes are very unique. Service is pretty bad though. No one waited on us and we had to flag down a waiter many times just to ask for basic things. It’s worth trying but I don’t think I would come back. Lots of good food in KL for cheaper price with better service.

The restaurant is strategically located at downtown and inside “The Linc” that can arrive by various modes of transport, atmosphere is nice with a lot of local cultural elements throughout, and it is quite spacious between tables despite a lot of guests during weekend dinner time…

We ordered a set menu which is for 8-10 people and there are variety of selections, and we could not finish all at the end, by the way there are 10 of us, each portion is big too. Taste of most of the food is not bad, especially the satay, fish tastes great…

Service throughout the night was good, which we think should rank the best out of all categories…

It is a nice experience with not too affordable pricing overall, and the restaurant is Michelin rated for 2023 and 2024, worth a try for those that like local cuisine…

Hasnain was my attentive server who live up to the restaurant’s world class service. Always help to refill our waters, rice and very polite as well.

Other servers are also very good. Greet us, ask us hows everything and make us feel like Royal Prince and Princess!

The food are so sumptuous and sooooo delicious! Perfect is all i can say!

Ambience with good music and eye catching designs certainly appeals to our liking!

Sao Vang Da Nang

Located inside The Linc, this Michelin recognised restaurant was our choice on our short stay to sample local tastes from one of the best chef’s in town and we were not disappointed.

The Chef’s platter appetiser provided a good range of flavours and textures to start our meal. The beef ribs were excellent, the bottomless rice a great touch to complement our main and the side dishes we selected, all of which provided for a great dining experience.

Even the lychee soda was very enjoyable as a refreshment on the side.

Only complaint which has nothing to do with the restaurant itself is our Grab driver refused to drop us outside The Linc and instead went via the underground car park and tagged us with the 13 ringgit fee for his drive through – save yourself a few dollars and get dropped off nearby and walk in.
———-

Well curated dishes and good flavours. Good presentation. Duck dish was tasty but had quite a few bony parts and there were lots of bones in the fish unfortunately which made it little unpleasant to eat. Prawn petai was very good and so was the flavoured rice….which we could have eaten on its own! Only non alcoholic drinks on offer but they were all quite refreshing and nice.

It was a truly wonderful experience celebrating my birthday here! The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. The food was delicious, and the team gave us great suggestions for combinations that worked perfectly. The ambience was lovely, with beautiful spots around the restaurant that made for some great photo opportunities. A special thanks to Mr. Ayad for his exceptional assistance and hospitality – he really made the evening memorable.

Came here with my family of 6 for lunch. We ordered foei gras, lamb shoulders and wagyu beef for mains and tiramisu for dessert. Each dish was well cooked. My favourite dish was the foei gras. They make the tiramisu live in front of you – thought that was really interesting too.

Also shoutout to Akash, it was such a pleasure to be served by him. He is really thoughtful the whole time and we all felt so pampered with his service 🙂

PS: Was late for the review. Visited this restaurant in April 2025 with my family!

✨Suasana & Vibes

Lagu K‑pop slow played and fun burst..
eloklah lepas shopping terus boleh singgah
yang buat kita lupa dunia sekejap…

️Makanan & Signature Menu
Order K’razy Spicy Cheesy Fried Chicken
Ayam boneless salut tepung rangup, dilimpahi sos Yangnyeom pedas manis, lalu keju mozzarella cair dibalut satu persatu atas meja—teknik nya korang boleh refer video jelah, rasa pedas-creamy.

Bulgogi Fries: French fries salut daging bulgogi rangup manis, mayonis dengan sos.
Ada rasa savoury manis dan rasa umami

‍ 3. Servis Pelanggan
Servisnya pantas & mesra… staf datang cek menu dgn senyum maneh dan tanya tahap kepedasan.
Bila aku tanya combo mana best layan untuk dua orang— confident, siap bagi tip ambil portion tengah. Syiok jugak bila diorang tolong prep the foods depan mata; interaksi sebegini strikes joy!

4.Harga & Nilai

Yo this is hands down the best Indian vegan food you can get in Little India.
You’ll see on the QR menu app all vegan options are marked with (V) and those without are Vegetarian, so no need to ask and hope they understand what’s vegan!

Food is super high quality and delicious, great variety of interesting options, affordable and staff are super friendly and often smiley. I went to other Vegetarian restaurants in the area but I keep coming back here. 10/10

One criticism I want to add however is that I saw honey ingredients listed on the vegan menu. Just want to make the staff aware that honey is not considered vegan. So that may upset customers.

A traditional Panjabi, no frills, vegetarian restaurant in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s little India. The food was excellent! Tandoori platter, original and a nice starter to share. The menu via a QR code was an innovative idea; help was on hand from the female waitress when we took too long to decide; she was excellent and helpful. Food arrived in good time. The ambience was dominated in part by a large sports’s screen which seemed to be the focus for most of the male waiters; One of two reasons for 3/5 stars. The second reason being when a male waiter, who had not served or acknowledged us all evening, surreptitiously pocketed the tip for himself! Not good! Recommend for the food, but the service needs to improve.

Restaurants: catalog of services offered in Kuala Lumpur

    Extensive and varied cuisine menus

Restaurants in Kuala Lumpur are renowned for their extensive menus showcasing a wide variety of cuisines. From traditional Malay dishes to Chinese, Indian, and Western offerings, patrons can find something to satisfy every palate. Many establishments feature seasonal menus that highlight the freshest available ingredients.

    Private dining room availability

For special occasions or intimate gatherings, many Kuala Lumpur restaurants provide private dining room availability. These rooms often offer customizable menus and dedicated service staff, creating a unique and memorable experience for guests. The level of personalization can range from simply selecting a pre-set menu to a completely bespoke creation.

    Delivery and takeaway options

Recognizing the convenience that many customers desire, numerous restaurants in Kuala Lumpur offer delivery and takeaway options. This allows patrons to enjoy their favorite dishes in the comfort of their own homes or offices, expanding the restaurant’s reach and catering to different lifestyles.

    Halal food certifications

Given the predominantly Muslim population of Kuala Lumpur, many restaurants proudly obtain and display Halal food certifications. This assures diners that the food preparation adheres to Islamic dietary guidelines, appealing to a broad range of customers and demonstrating a commitment to inclusivity.

    Themed dining experiences

Beyond the standard meal, several restaurants in Kuala Lumpur cultivate themed dining experiences. This can include everything from traditional cultural performances to interactive culinary workshops. These offerings aim to engage all senses and elevate the dining experience beyond simply consuming a meal.

    Outdoor seating and scenic views

With its tropical climate, Kuala Lumpur’s restaurants often capitalize on outdoor spaces. Many establishments offer outdoor seating arrangements, some of which boast scenic views of the city skyline or surrounding greenery. This allows diners to enjoy their meals amidst a pleasant and relaxing ambiance.

    Customizable set menus for events

For corporate events, weddings, or other celebrations, restaurants frequently provide customizable set menus. The menus might include different courses and beverage pairings.

Sommelier services and extensive wine lists

To complement the culinary offerings, several Kuala Lumpur restaurants employ sommelier services and maintain extensive wine lists. The sommelier can provide expert recommendations to perfectly pair wines with the chosen dishes, enhancing the overall dining experience and offering insights into the wines' origins and characteristics.

Frequently asked questions about restaurants in Kuala Lumpur

What types of cuisine are commonly found in Kuala Lumpur?

Kuala Lumpur boasts an incredibly diverse culinary scene. You're likely to find Malay cuisine, which is the national cuisine, known for its rich and spicy flavors. Chinese cuisine, including Cantonese, Hokkien, and Sichuan, is also incredibly prevalent. You’re also easily able to find Indian cuisine, particularly South Indian, and a growing selection of international cuisines like Thai, Japanese, Korean, and Western options. Finding authentic flavors from around the world is relatively simple.

How much should I expect to spend on a meal in Kuala Lumpur?

The cost of a meal can vary greatly depending on the restaurant you choose. You can find incredibly affordable options, such as hawker stalls or food courts, where a meal might cost between RM5 and RM15. Mid-range restaurants typically charge between RM25 and RM50 per person. Fine dining establishments can easily cost upwards of RM100 per person. The key is to be mindful of the location and type of establishment.

What are "hawker stalls" and are they safe to eat at?

Hawker stalls, also known as "kopitiam" or "mamak stalls," are small, open-air food stalls that serve traditional Malaysian dishes. They are a cornerstone of Kuala Lumpur's food culture. Generally, they are quite safe and hygienic, but look for stalls that are busy (a sign of popularity and fresh ingredients) and well-maintained. The local population relies heavily on these stalls, showcasing their reliability.

How do I find good restaurants that aren’t tourist traps?

To avoid tourist traps, try venturing away from popular tourist areas. Ask local residents for recommendations. Online reviews can be helpful, but filter based on reviews from locals rather than tourists. Look for places that are busy with Malaysians, and be willing to explore lesser-known neighborhoods. Word-of-mouth recommendations are invaluable.

What is "Nasi Lemak" and is it a must-try?

Nasi Lemak is considered Malaysia's national dish. It's fragrant rice cooked in coconut milk and pandan leaf, typically served with fried chicken, peanuts, anchovies, cucumber, and a spicy sambal sauce. It's an absolute must-try for anyone visiting Kuala Lumpur and provides a wonderful introduction to Malaysian flavors. It's usually available throughout the day, although it's particularly popular for breakfast.

What is the best way to get to restaurants in Kuala Lumpur?

Kuala Lumpur has a good public transportation system. The Light Rail Transit (LRT), Monorail, and bus systems can get you to many popular restaurant areas. Ride-hailing services like Grab are also widely available and convenient. Taxis are another option, but can be more expensive. Traffic can be heavy, so plan accordingly.

Are there any restaurants that cater to dietary restrictions, such as vegetarian or halal?

Yes, Kuala Lumpur is increasingly accommodating to dietary needs. Vegetarian restaurants are becoming more common, and many restaurants offer vegetarian options on their menus. Halal restaurants are widely available, as the majority of the population is Muslim. Look for signage indicating adherence to halal standards.
