Had my first reformer Pilate in third space. The instructor is helpful, clear instructions, attentive to every attendees. Class is 45mins & really helps to train muscle part that I rarely use. But the only problem is not user friendly for first time user. Neither website nor customer service.
I purchased their promo package via a link. Once done payment then nothing pop out to guide me what’s next. I took sometimes to try find any info includes the schedule, nearest branch etc but none. Then no choice i had to go to their social media and chat customer service. They only send me some rules & regulation & need to bring non-slip socks but no location or class schedule provided . Also Imagine as a newbie, if I no reach them, definitely i won’t get ready non-slip socks.
Still I totally have no idea how to attend my first class. Then i ask where to check class availability? Then answer “via the apps”. Then only i know actually the apps that i made payment is also where i book class. Again, no instructions/pictures given to show how to check. I have to figure myself. After i book the class which filtered by area. Again, no address or pictures of the branch provided!! OMG!! I need to leave the apps & access google maps to search which i have no confident at all since is from 3rd party! So to avoid any unforeseen circumstances, i arrived that territory earlier to find the shop. Guess what, it has no signboard ↕️…..it covers with curtains and can’t c inside at all, it really took me sometimes to confirm this is the place. luckily i came earlier.
Mm…. They put lots of efforts on marketing blasting so it gives me a guts feeling that this company just wanna earn money from this hot trend. Instructors are good but unfortunately I can’t give 5 stars because of this.

Never really did Pilates (usually weights & yoga) before but it’s now been my 7th reformer class with ThirdSpace and I’m really enjoying it, & look forward to every session 🙂
The atmosphere here is great, as the studio is clean, has such a calming vibe to it once you step into the room, the equipments are in good condition and the location is fantastic (maybe because I live at one of the condos nearby and I’m able to just walk over haha But even if you don’t, parking at the Verve building is also very cheap and convenient comparing to other buildings)
When it comes to the instructors, I find that they are also all very cheerful, helpful and above all knowledgeable in their field 🙂 Ive so far attended classes with Isabella, Jam and Natalie <3 Love that ThirdSpace also has promotions from time to time so it ends up being a very affordable activity to enjoy. Please do keep up the good work, to the instructors and management :)

The studio is beautiful and the class sizes are small, so the instructor can really focus on each student. I joined Isabella Chee’s class — she’s patient, attentive, and explains each movement clearly, making the class well-paced, encouraging, and suitable for all levels. Highly recommend!

Disgusting. No cleaning ever has been done to the class area and equipment. Every class i have attended i have been surrounded by someones hair and dust, unable to focus on exercise. Seeking immediate attention to resolve the issue and assign cleaner to Mont kiara Verve branch.

I really love coming to the Pilates classes offered here at Third Space Pilates. By far the best price offered in town too! I’ve had most of my classes with Jwen and one of the reasons I keep coming back is of how clear her instructions are and her attentiveness to each one of us too. The classes always start on time and you’ll leave all your worries behind, leaving with a lighter heart (and some soreness )! I really recommend this studio for those who are looking to spend their time doing Pilates!

I attended the IMP course with Gretel this year, and I’m extremely satisfied with her teaching approach. Her guidance and patience throughout the course made it easy for me to understand not only the importance of the IMP principles and exercises, but also the anatomy topics, which she explained clearly and effectively.
One of the most memorable parts for me was the Postural Analysis (PA) section — Gretel made it much easier to understand compared to my previous experience with other instructors.
This course with Gretel has fully enriched my knowledge, both for personal growth and to take back to my country. I would not only recommend others to join courses here, but I’m also personally interested in attending any future workshops conducted by Gretel.
I also appreciate the supportive learning environment at Pilatique Studio and the helpful updates provided — especially the advice on avoiding roadblocks during the ASEAN conference period, which helped ensure a smooth learning experience.
Thank you so much!

As a pilates-addict, wherever I go, I search for the best pilates studio and pilatique has been the best option this time as an instructor training center.
I had private sessions with instructor Vijitha and she was wonderful. She read my body and understood my needs perfectly and planned the best program for me. I am looking forward to coming back to KL and having sessions with her again soon. I had also group class with Cherry and another instructor (so sorry to forgot the name). They were great, as well. Perfect instructors and staff! Love them all:)

I’ve been training with Vijitha and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. I have a knee issue, and she’s always incredibly attentive—checking in during each session to make sure there’s no discomfort and adjusting exercises as needed. Her knowledge of Pilates and the body is impressive, and I always feel safe, supported, and challenged in the best way. Thanks to her, I’ve seen real improvements in my strength and posture.

I recently completed my Mat, Reformer, and ICCB courses with Wei Vern and Gretel, and I’m so thankful to have had both of them as my instructors. The course was super detailed and packed with knowledge, and I really appreciated how clear and thorough their teaching was.
Wei Vern and Gretel were not just knowledgeable, but also super encouraging and supportive throughout the course. I felt comfortable asking questions and always came away learning something new. I’m really grateful for the experience and feel lucky to have met and learned from both of them!
If you’re thinking about taking this course, I highly encourage you to do it here & you’ll be in great hands!

I’ve had a good experience at Pilatique Pilates & Physiotherapy Studio. I took solo Pilates classes and worked with Vijitha, who is an excellent instructor. She was attentive and tailored each session to suit my capabilities, especially since I had a previous injury in my left knee. I really appreciated how the exercises were adjusted to support my recovery, and I’ve definitely noticed an improvement. The studio itself is clean and shower rooms are provided.

I started my Pilates journey with Cherry. I’m not new to Pilates, but Cherry is very experienced and knowledgeable. I found out that I have a slipped disc at P3 and P4 back in June 2024. I wasn’t able to do many activities properly because I tended to injure myself easily—even something as simple as picking up a piece of paper from the floor.
After a few classes with Cherry, I found that my condition has become much more stable. She checks my form during every rep and pays close attention to my alignment. Various Pilates equipment was introduced, and Cherry thoroughly explained their uses. I am so grateful to have Cherry for my 1:1 sessions at Pilatique Pilates

Updated: Been over two years and still loving my practice at the flow studio.
Been doing yoga here for a year now. Tried out different yoga classes around the city before getting my unlimited yoga and mat Pilates with Flow.
Kristie, Kea, Barbara, Charlotte, Alia and the other instructors get to know the students and help them improve and grow in their practice.
Other than the physical practice, these instructors always have a nugget of wisdom that help you with your mental health as well.
The practice has also helped me grow personally, physically, mentally and professionally.
The studio also has interesting challenges and not to forget the perks from their partners 🙂
Favourite classes: Flow Slow, Yin, Gong Bath 🙂

I’ve always booked the Bangsar class because it has only 8 reformers and pink pastel color! I started with beginner classes about 4 months ago and recently moved up to intermediate level and noticed an improvement in my core strength.
Special thanks to Natalie Ang for her clear instructions and the way she took the time to correct our form. Sweated a lot during the class though.

Urban Spring Pilates Bangsar offers a solid Pilates experience. The studio provides a welcoming atmosphere and the instruction appears to be of a high standard. The equipment, while perhaps showing signs of age, seems to be consistently maintained, ensuring a safe and effective workout. It’s a good option for those seeking a focused and professional Pilates class. The instructors are evidently well-trained.
While the studio’s offerings seem generally positive, potential clients should be aware of the additional costs associated with certain classes. Things like specialized towels or socks for hot Pilates sessions may incur rental or purchase fees. It is recommended to inquire about these additional costs and necessary equipment beforehand to avoid unexpected expenses. The pricing is also something to consider when comparing options.

First time in U/Spring main branch, easy to locate and accessible from diff parts of the city.
Age is showing in this branch, but it does have a calm and rustic feel to it. Lockers and changing rooms are available, BB reformers showing some age but still function well -they last a lifetime, and the springs are working perfectly. Can’t say the same about other brands though.
U/Spring is a notch higher than many other studios around town, in terms of quality instructors, management and being a BASI host affiliate. I sincerely hope they’ll keep to provision of reputable and durable “machines” in all their branches. It just suits their brand and product better, and giving the company an edge. Anyway, good machines last a lifetime and well worth the investment.
For mothers to be, suffering from injuries/rehab. Their branch at Mont Kiara is the ideal venue with lift/escalator access. To be more inclusive, I do hope U Spring would consider this added advantage in their future expansion.

I had a mixed experience with this yoga studio. The studio itself is nice, and the class was good. It’s worth trying, especially if you’re new to yoga. However, there were a couple of issues:
1. The booking process didn’t mention the compulsory items needed for the class. For instance, I joined a hot class, and the staff informed me that I needed to wear socks. I ended up buying a pair of expensive socks at RM30, which the quality was not that good. Im fine with this price if the quality was good. Make it feel like they are just wanna earn money instead of quality things.
2. Hot classes require a towel on the mat. The studio provide towel rental at RM10, but these were regular towels, not suitable for hot yoga. They had a lot of fuzz and were not anti-slip.
Overall, it’s a decent studio, but there were some issues with communication and the quality of provided items.

I signed up for a pilates package but, due to a medical condition, I could not continue and provided the studio with a medical certificate. Despite this, my emails were ignored and no fair solution was offered.
It’s disappointing because consumer law generally protects customers in situation where services paid for cannot be used, yet I was left without any response. Clear communication and professionalism were lacking in my experience.

I love all the instructors.
One star is for the management. The distance between mat is very small. How to do workout/yoga/pilates? I can’t even do a simple stretching. Keep worry hitting people beside. The instructor also headache in creating workout flow, cannot turn left right, and limit the hand or leg movement to front back only due to this limited space. As you can see from picture, even sitting already almost knee to knee when class is full, can you check if your class environment violet any rules and regulations? Is it safe to have so many students in a class for hot class with window close. Do the air flow provide enough oxygen.

Had worst experience with Xin Woen, Group Reformer Class. She does not even bother to care about friendliness and was acting rude all the time. If you want a happy Pilates time, do not go to her class. tbh, Xin needs some guidance for her attitude as well

It was my first time attending hot slow flow class and I had a good sweaty experience. The instructor, Apple was good. She was clear. The studio was clean too. Overall good experience.

Went for a Hot flow using ClassPass and was quite surprise to find out what it was, cause it was indeed a ‘hot’ class! It’s yoga in a sauna basically! I’ve never sweat so much in my workout than that particular session. I think the class is more suitable for people who has tried yoga before. Overall I had a great experience except one downside which was the crowd. Wish there were more space between attendees as the class was full because I was almost hitting my neighbour when I stretched. Otherwise they could limit the number of ppl per class. Shower is clean but please bring your own toiletries. Hairdryer provided as well. Suggest to bring your own yoga mat or if using theirs, bring a full size towel to cover the yoga mat because you’ll be a dripping tap inside. Parking in that area was full but there were spots to park just stone’s throw away when I was there on a Friday late afternoon.

Hills Pilates – Sunway Velocity offers a truly personalized experience. The studio’s layout is carefully considered, creating a calm and welcoming atmosphere, and the dedicated private rooms ensure focused attention. It stands out due to its commitment to one-on-one instruction, allowing for a thorough assessment and tailored program for each individual’s needs.
While potentially a higher investment compared to group classes, the value lies in the expert guidance and customized approach. It’s an excellent choice for those seeking to refine their Pilates technique, address specific physical concerns, or simply prioritize a more intimate and focused workout environment. The attention to detail is commendable.

I have been attending pilates classes with Hills Pilates for almost 3 years.
I had such a great experience at this Pilates studio! The session was well-structured, challenging yet approachable, and I left feeling both energized and refreshed. The studio itself is clean, bright, and welcoming. It really creates a calm atmosphere that makes you want to focus and do your best.
Most importantly, my instructor, Natalie Yap was fantastic: attentive, encouraging, and able to give personalized guidance without making me feel singled out.
I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to improve their strength, flexibility, and overall well-being.

Tried 4 reformer pilates studio which I was contemplating to join. Made use of all their first trials just to try out.
My selections are based on
(1) Accessibility – Near me and can park
(2) Timing – I like weekend mornings
(3) The studio’s vibe and instructor
(4) Cost and flexibility
@hillspilates_ was the other pilates (only) studio I tried. This was, of course very different as they do not offer any classes but only on a 1:1 basis.
Comments
– Very aesthetic place, private, clean and with individual rooms. Bright and airy, similar colour scheme to Flow Studio
– They only have a toilet but since the studio is not too large I guess two cubicles are sufficient. No shower facilities though, but ok for me too as I don’t feel I need to shower (don’t sweat at all for pilates)
– Since this is a 1:1 class, had full attention from the instructor, which was fantastic. She took the trouble to assess my posture and ‘issues’ and explained everything in detail. Class was not as ‘complete’ as the rest cos this is a trial class but I still managed to learn some moves which focused on some stretching, legs and core movements.
– Vibe wise, definitely not intimidating at all, and good for first timers really who would like to get things right and learn the right forms.
– Location was quite ideal as well since it’s located in a larger mall and I can eat and do my groceries after hahaha
Definitely pricier than all the others. No option for single classes so need to sign up for packages – however I would see this as something similar to a gym’s personal training and might not be a long term thing. Would consider to sign up just to learn the basics and get my form right

I’ve been taking private Pilates classes at Hills Pilates Sunway Velocity for almost two years now, and I can’t recommend them enough!
The location is super convenient, making it easy to find with plenty of parking always available.
What truly stands out is the incredible progress I’ve made. When I started, there were so many movements I couldn’t even dream of doing, and now I’m mastering them thanks to my instructor, Licole. She’s not only incredibly professional and friendly, but she consistently challenges me in new ways. Every class feels like a personal journey of growth for both my body and strength.
For anyone looking to explore private Pilates and truly see an enhancement in their body and capabilities, you absolutely need to check them out – especially with Licole!

I’ve been attending one-to-one Pilates sessions with instructor Estelle at this studio. From the very first class, I felt completely supported and guided. The instructor is not only highly experienced but also incredibly attentive to detail. She takes the time to understand my individual needs and tailors each session accordingly. Her cues are always clear, and she has a real talent for explaining movements in a way that’s easy to understand, even for someone like me who was new to Pilates.
The studio itself is clean, calm, and welcoming.

The Flow Studio at Damansara Height offers a fantastic Pilates experience with expert instructors and a welcoming atmosphere. The studio is well-equipped and provides a great environment for enhancing strength and flexibility. However, one downside is the parking, which can be quite pricey, especially during weekdays. Despite the parking cost, it’s definitely a great spot for Pilates enthusiasts looking for quality classes.

First time at this DH studio and also reformers cardio and I must say I absolutely loved it! The burn was intense and sweated like crazy but so good! And I love the instructor Pris! She’s very hands on and super accommodating cause I have lower back pain. She’s also so pretty! And friendly staff at their front desk. Will definitely come back to this studio

Upon entering, you are greeted by friendly service staff and the studio is gently scented with essential oils which is rly comforting! There is lots of attention to detail and aesthetics in the various corners from the drinks, sink and decor in the studios. The changing room and dressing area is my favourite with dyson hair dryer and corrale to doll up after class.
I came for the mat pilates, dynamic flow and chill flow. All classes were well paced and challenging but not overwhelming. Would love to come back again!
Many options to dine around and do some grocery shopping after class 🙂

Fell in love with this DH branch. It’s giving calming & welcoming vibes ❤️ Went for a Reformer Strength+ class which suits advanced students and I love it! My core, my glutes and my legs were on fire. Gladly say that plank and pike are my favourite Pilates moves so far.

Really love the aesthetic space that is signature to The Flow, but beyond that I also really enjoyed the classes.
I’m a beginner and really appreciated how thoughtful the instructors were in providing cues.
I like that this place is a Gong Bath Chill Flow, it is something that completely moved me in ways that I never thought possible.
Pro-tip: parking is flat rate at RM3 for weekday evenings and on weekends, and you can get free parking if you spend >RM50 at Qra
Only downsides of this space compared to the Bangsar one is probably that the restrooms are outside and the lack of soundproofing – you can hear the next class’s instructors, cars on the street as well as the sound of the MRTs

Frequently asked questions about pilates centers in Kuala Lumpur
What exactly is Pilates, and what are its benefits?
Pilates is a mind-body exercise method that focuses on core strength, flexibility, and body awareness. It’s developed around the principle of precision, control, and breathing. Benefits include improved posture, muscle tone, balance, and can aid in rehabilitation from injuries. It’s a great way to build a strong core without excessive bulk.
What’s the difference between mat Pilates and reformer Pilates?
While both are Pilates exercises, they differ significantly. Mat Pilates uses your own body weight for resistance, often utilizing props like resistance bands or small balls. Reformer Pilates employs a specialized machine called the Reformer, which uses springs and pulleys to provide adjustable resistance. The Reformer allows for a wider range of exercises and can be beneficial for all fitness levels.
How much experience do Pilates instructors typically have?
Pilates instructors should hold a certification from a recognized training institution. These programs typically require hundreds of hours of instruction and practice. A well-qualified instructor will possess a deep understanding of Pilates principles and be able to adapt exercises to meet individual needs and physical limitations. Look for instructors with years of practical experience.
What should I expect during my first Pilates class?
Your first class will likely involve an introduction to the Pilates method and a focus on basic movements. The instructor should assess your fitness level and any physical concerns. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and communicate any discomfort. Expect a focus on proper form over quantity of repetitions.
What types of Pilates classes are offered in Kuala Lumpur?
Pilates centers in Kuala Lumpur offer a variety of class types, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes. Some centers also offer specialized classes geared towards specific populations, such as prenatal Pilates, postnatal Pilates, or Pilates for athletes. Check the center's schedule for specific offerings.
How much do Pilates classes typically cost?
The cost of Pilates classes can vary depending on the center, the type of class, and the duration of the session. Drop-in classes typically range from approximately 100 to 200 Malaysian Ringgit. Packages and memberships often offer a more cost-effective option for those who plan to attend regularly. Always inquire about pricing structures before signing up.
What should I wear to a Pilates class?
Comfortable, form-fitting clothing is essential for Pilates. You're best off wearing clothes that allow you to move freely and allow the instructor to see your body alignment. Avoid loose-fitting clothes that can get in the way of the exercises. Bare feet or socks are typically worn, but some centers may require grip socks. Ask the center beforehand.
Are there any health conditions that might prevent me from doing Pilates?
While Pilates is generally safe, certain health conditions may require modification or avoidance of certain exercises. It’s essential to consult with your doctor before starting Pilates if you have back pain, joint problems, hernia, or are pregnant. Always inform your instructor of any pre-existing medical conditions.
How often should I attend Pilates classes to see results?
The frequency of Pilates classes needed to see results varies depending on individual goals and fitness levels. Attending classes 2-3 times per week is a good starting point for most people. Consistency is key! It is better to do a few sessions per week consistently rather than an infrequent, intense schedule.
How do I choose a reputable Pilates center in Kuala Lumpur?
When choosing a Pilates center, look for a place with certified instructors, a clean and well-maintained studio, and a positive reputation. Read online reviews and ask for recommendations from friends or family. Consider taking an introductory class at a few different centers before committing to a membership. Instructor credentials are paramount.
