Mega music world’s facilities are top-notch, providing an ideal environment for musical growth. My piano teach Penny, her approach to teaching goes beyond the conventional, she not only imparts knowledge but also instills a genuine passion for learning in her students. This guitar store is fairly new, but they also have a fair share of quality guitars; semi hollow for blues and jazz, acoustic for country and the metallic shecter for a heavy sound. Aside from that if you ever need help in picking up music parts be it amps or percussions, their staff are friendly, assistive and experienced to help you with your dilemmas.

CHOPS Music is a small cosy, clean and professionally run school for music where students of all ages and levels can come to learn to play many types of music instruments and learn to sing. The proprietor whose name is John is personally there all the time to ensure everything goes well with both the students and teachers. He is hands on and extremely pleasant with whom to deal. The teachers are all very friendly.

The school is conveniently located in Taman Melawati and not far from The Mall . There are plenty of eateries nearby.

I am 63 years old and have taken many classes there . I enjoy my sessions and have found a new interest late in life and the school has helped me nicely along my way. This school has my definite thumbs up!

There are plenty of instruments to choose from. I came here to look for a piano class for my daughter. Although they just opened, I’ve heard the teachers here are experienced.

One more thing I noticed is that there’s a lot of parking space, which might make this my first choice for my daughter’s piano class since it’s really convenient for me to wait.

The prices for music lesson are very reasonable and I truly enjoyed my lessons with the teacher.

Besides, the environment of the school is warm and welcoming.

Music center most important with patience and passionate teachers especially towards younger kids building love in music. First impression is a awesome music place for music talent. Importantly compliment to Teacher or Coach Kelly. There are following a programme call Musikgarten comprehensive children music programme.
There is a small hall at the first floor right for showing music talent and parents participation.
Tips: Area hard to find parking and try the next road on the left towards danau kota as there are more parking along the road but need to walk a bit.

My 9yr old daughter has been enjoying her piano lessons here. The classes are well-structured yet fun. I can see her confidence growing with each session, not only in playing but also in expressing herself through music. Thank you for nurturing her love for piano and making the journey such a positive one!

We’re very disappointed with this school and cannot recommend it. My 3-year-old son attended two toddler music classes, and the experience was far from what we expected. The teacher simply played songs from YouTube, sang along, had the children tap sticks to the beat, and then spent the last 10 minutes drawing. Calling it “music education” feels misleading—there was little genuine music instruction or creativity involved.

The classroom itself is tiny. What really troubled us, though, was the principal’s approach and comments. She stated that “children like adults to dominate them,” which completely contradicts our parenting values. We believe in nurturing independent growth and respect, not blind obedience. Despite our son being shy and only three years old, she told us not to accompany him—yet other parents were allowed to stay. One had a younger baby, which is understandable, but another was permitted simply because they were the principal’s neighbor. This double standard felt unfair and unprofessional.

To make matters worse, the school’s deposit policy is rigid. Their T&Cs clearly state that once you pay the registration fee, tuition, and one-month deposit, you cannot get the deposit back if you withdraw—you can only attend one more month of classes. Because their philosophy and teaching style were so incompatible with our values, we decided to stop after two lessons and forfeit the money.

A principal should be willing to communicate openly with parents, understand different perspectives, and find the best approach for each child—not impose a one-size-fits-all, controlling philosophy. Unfortunately, the lack of flexibility, uninspiring lessons, and inconsistent standards made this a very disappointing experience.

As an Expat family in Malaysia,we were looking for place that will not only serve as an instrument learning program,but a community of music lovers. We got refered to OUCH Music School and my kids could not be happier. My 6 year old has had a great transformation within the last year and half. Her confidence has drastically improved and her ability to grasp the basic concepts is impressive. My 3 year old son recently joined and always has a field day. The staff are fantastic, they are professional,kind and most importantly patient with the kids. My sons focus levels improved drastically barely 2 months into his classes.Ushera runs a really good school. Thank you OUCH for all you do. My kids always look forward to their weekly classes with so much enthusiasm.

To conclude: the teachers here have been patient and caring, but the principal’s behavior destroyed our trust in this environment and teaching philosophy.

Our three-year-old son is shy and slow to warm up in groups. He needs extra care and time to adapt, so for the first two group classes, one of us stayed with him—otherwise, he simply wouldn’t enter the classroom.

Today, during the second class, I stayed beside him the whole time, following the teacher’s activities and playing music with the kids.
Near the end, the principal abruptly entered the room, asked me and my son to her office, and lectured me. She said she’d been watching the CCTV and questioned:

– Why I was in the classroom with my child
– Claimed my child’s shyness meant I lacked authority over my child.

Then she harshly ordered my son to sit, startling both of us, and said, “You should control him like this—kids actually like being dominated.”

I played along politely, but left feeling shaken.

This authoritarian approach is toxic—we adults suffered under that style ourselves and deliberately choose a different way to raise our child.

My 3yo took the toddler program and she really enjoyed it! A perfect way to introduce music to your children in such a very fun way but still very educative. My daughter was very shy in the beginning but the teacher was really good at handling this. Love it!

We are taking violin lessons at Ouch Music Academy for one year now. Teacher Ms. Yan is an amazing professional with lots of patience and open mind.
Scheduling and accommodating our holiday travel, making up missed classes were never an issue. I highly recommend this school for violin players at any level. Ms. Yan could easily train professional players as well.

My daughter (8 y.o) started attending their school two months ago simply because she loves singing. When I heard about the contest, I honestly thought performing in front of an audience might still be too difficult for her. Even after deciding to participate, she kept wavering, saying she wanted to quit but then wanted to give it a try again.

When it was her turn at the concert, she hesitated to go on stage and finally appeared holding her teacher’s hand. We, as her parents, were even more nervous than she was. However, as soon as the music started, she amazed the audience by singing and dancing passionately.

I was impressed by her courage and the support of her teachers. She was able to take that first step. She’s already saying she wants to participate again next time. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful experience!!

My son had been with Masters Touch for almost a year now, he had thoroughly learned to enjoy music through the piano lessons there. Now he is exploring more instruments and I’m very happy that his love of music is only growing. The admin and teaching team are very responsive, which makes coordination of lessons a breeze.

Mr. Collin is the perfect piano teacher for my daughter. He knows exactly how to engage her with his great sense of humour. Since joining his classes, she thrive well with great positivity towards music. It feels great as parents to watch her enjoying music.

It was my first time and overall was good. There is definitely room for improvement in the organization, the diversity of the performance. We’ve been taking lessons at Masters Touch for 5 years now. Teacher Fang and Teacher Kelly are very patient and kind with my kids. They are well balanced in their teaching approach – teaching in preparation for music exams and teaching fun songs to instill the love of music and to keep the students engaged. The teachers are the reason why we chose to stay at this music center.

They have very good teachers, my son enjoys learning violin here, i have recommended many friends to this centre too as the kids tend to learn in a quicker pace.

Je viens une fois par semaine depuis plus d’un an avec mes deux enfants pour des cours de musique et de chant. Sherlyn est une patronne très arrangeante et accueillante : les cours manqués sont systématiquement rattrapés à notre rythme et selon nos impératifs et quand.il y a une longue période d’absence de notre part pour vacances ou maladie, le forfait mensuel est suspendu. Ma fille adore chanter avec Sherlyn et a bien progressé. Quant au prof de ukulele/guitare, il est hyper sympa, patient et très pédagogue. Just moved to Malaysia and found this gem of a place! My son truly enjoys his piano lessons there and the Principal of the music school is super cool and nice too! Teachers are also v patient and kind making it a truly enjoyable experience for the kids!

My 6 year old daughter started her piano lessons here after 2 years of JMC. I saw great improvements in her note reading and her interest in the piano grew. Great studio with great teachers, perfect learning space for kids of all ages. Teachers are very professional and all staff are very friendly and efficient. Personally, I can see improvement on my daughter’s vocal and notes readings more so as she has never attended any external vocal/instrument classes prior to this.
