This guitar store is fairly new, but they also have a fair share of quality guitars; semi hollow for blues and jazz, acoustic for country and the metallic shecter for a heavy sound. Aside from that if you ever need help in picking up music parts be it amps or percussions, their staff are friendly, assistive and experienced to help you with your dilemmas.

We had two birthday parties one for each sibling. I must say it was the best birthday party ever. We were so blessed to have found you! Shami and Joyce are passionate people and they did everything they could to understand our needs and expectations. They went out of their way and think outside the box and customize for 100% customer satisfaction! I am so happy to have had our kids dream birthday parties here! They are totally worth it! They are very responsive, the first reason I choose this business was because they were the first ones to get back to me and give me all the details when I messaged them while other businesses took their own sweet time or didn’t respond. This shows their work ethic, they are always responsive and kind and work towards customer satisfaction! They did better than I imagined! You guys will achieve bigger and grow greater! Thanks for everything ! If anyone of you looking for art parties, this the the best place!

CHOPS Music is a small cosy, clean and professionally run school for music where students of all ages and levels can come to learn to play many types of music instruments and learn to sing. The proprietor whose name is John is personally there all the time to ensure everything goes well with both the students and teachers. He is hands on and extremely pleasant with whom to deal. The teachers are all very friendly.
The school is conveniently located in Taman Melawati and not far from The Mall . There are plenty of eateries nearby.
I am 63 years old and have taken many classes there . I enjoy my sessions and have found a new interest late in life and the school has helped me nicely along my way. This school has my definite thumbs up!
Good luck and well wishes to CHOPS MUSIC.
Thank you.

Frequently Asked Questions about Education in Kuala Lumpur
What types of schools are available in Kuala Lumpur?
Kuala Lumpur offers a diverse range of educational institutions, including national schools (Sekolah Kebangsaan), private schools, international schools, and religious schools. National schools primarily follow the Malaysian curriculum, while private schools often have their own curriculum or follow international curricula. International schools cater to expatriate families and offer programs like IB, Cambridge, or American curricula.
What is the difference between national and international schools?
The primary difference lies in the curriculum. National schools adhere to the Malaysian national curriculum, emphasizing Bahasa Malaysia and Malaysian history. International schools offer curricula from overseas, like the International Baccalaureate (IB) or Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), and instruction is frequently delivered in English. This impacts the language of instruction and the educational philosophies employed.
What are the admission requirements for international schools?
Admission requirements for international schools can vary considerably. Most require an application form, academic transcripts from previous schools, and sometimes an entrance assessment. Some schools also request a personal statement or an interview to evaluate a student’s suitability. Age and prior academic performance are significant factors.
What are the popular international curricula used in Kuala Lumpur?
Several international curricula are popular in Kuala Lumpur. These include the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, known for its holistic approach, the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) curriculum, recognized globally, and the American curriculum, which mirrors the education system in the United States. Choosing the right curriculum depends on the student’s future educational goals.
How does the Malaysian education system work?
The Malaysian education system is structured around primary school (6-12 years), secondary school (13-17 years), and tertiary education. Primary school is compulsory. Secondary school is divided into lower secondary (Form 1-3) and upper secondary (Form 3-5). Students take the Malaysia Certificate of Education (MCE) at the end of Form 3 and the Malaysia Certificate of Secondary Education (SPM) at the end of Form 5.
What is the cost of education in international schools?
The cost of education in international schools can be substantial. Annual tuition fees typically range from RM 30,000 to RM 50,000 or higher, depending on the school’s reputation, facilities, and curriculum. Additional costs include uniform purchases, activity fees, and transportation. It is crucial to budget accordingly and consider financial aid options if needed.
Are there scholarships available for international students?
Yes, scholarships are available for international students, although they can be competitive. Some schools offer their own scholarships, while external organizations and government bodies offer scholarships for Malaysian universities and educational programs. Researching and applying early is essential.
What is the language of instruction in most international schools?
While Bahasa Malaysia is the national language, most international schools use English as the primary language of instruction. However, students are often required to learn Bahasa Malaysia as part of their curriculum. The ability to communicate effectively in English is a key factor for admission.
